I have heard many of your stories. Most have the same approach of wishful transcendalism. This is obsurb. You need to review world history a lot more. The one enduring fact is humans like to stretch out their arms. We will go where we want and no one is going to tell us otherwise. To presume we would be willing allow ourselves to be "tested" under such a threat as a premise to grow and enlighten ourselves is laughable. We would go for all the reasons you have mention. But. Under no circumstance would humanity allow such a threat to hang over our heads. It would be more like...Yeah, right. Now get out of our way.

And after all of that we settled down with a nice cup of tea and an Eccles cake......lovely.

Nothing like an AI to F-up the description of a rifle and caliber. Nearly the most asinine description of a projectile with an explosive charge hitting it's target as well. This had to have been written by a gamer who has never been around real firearms.
