How to install Toyota Factory OEM mudguards 2017 RAV4 SE Hybrid
👍🏻👍🏻
Can you put them on with the side steps been told by Toyota you can only put rear on
I totally needed this that the best idea thanks so much for posting this.
Thanks for your help, Tam.. i’ve just done mine this minute. Again, thanks.
you’re a genius!
What an awesome tip. Thank you. I was just sitting here trying to justify buying a special cutter for the same job...but I have a torch and cheap wire cutters. 🤘👏😊
The name Toshi reminds me of a dog name Yoshi he is still alive AND EH IS SO CUTE
If you don't have a descent cable cutter use a blow torch
*Me,,I cutt it with just my teeth....hhhhhh*
Hi can you help me. I just bought a 0 week baby shih Tzu puppy like yours hone last night from breeder. He's very cute and extremely playful. Couldn't get him to eat drink water or get into his crate last night (1st night at our home) he was just too energetic. Can't even get him too have a sniff at any offf his many puppy treats to lure him in. What am I doing wrong. Plz help. I've had no sleep.... Kuldip
Thanks soo much!
Hacksaw is better
Have you change the reverse light?
thanks Tom
Dabs
You did not show how to install, bad video!
Thanks for sharing! worked perfect even with the flame from a gas stove :0)
i have an awesome little wire cutter around here somewhere but i lost it, i've been spending an hour trying to find it.
Thanks for showing this. Now I know that I need larger aftermarket flaps that actually do something. Those OEM "flaps" are WAY too small.
Where would ya'll recommend purchasing these from online? What is there price diff. between dealer and online? Thank you!
Any tricks for cuting the cable houseing w/out tools
What a great idea, thanks for the help
Always better to have the proper tools for the job, but if you don't want to spend the money on a tool that is used very infrequently then you could do what I do use a small Dremel with a fine cutting blade... First cut a shallow groove in a small piece of wood to hold the cable and then very lightly cut the cable.... the finished job looks professional just a little oil to lubricate the cable at the ends.
How did you pull the bulb out?
Good idea
Awesome trick bro, thanks for the tip!
Great job although your cable will heat up a lot quicker if you use the tip of the flame rather than the base.
Use a Dremel, clean and quick
Now... where did I put that torch ?
Worked great for me. Was able to cut it after I installed the new brake cable. Just be cautious to keep the flame a few inches away from any part of the bike.
Thanks alot
hi there, could you please tell me the toyota part number of plastic piece showed at 1:10? thanks in advance.
good idea. if it's a teflon one it'll mess up the teflon. I've used an angle grinder and strong tape.
.
Thanks! I wouldn't have thought of that! Another method I use, is to wrap the cable tightly with insuating tape first, then cut. My dad showed me that many years ago before I became a granddad. Any method of holding the strands together should work,
Thanks, Robert. And thanks to your dad.
@Bebo glad you found it useful! I eventually bought a pair of special cable cutters after using the tape method many times. Hard to get tape to stick on oily cable though!
czcams.com/video/0to9lRNAXqY/video.html Another video with good options Thanks
Terrific! I had the front ones on in under 90 seconds each. The back ones took a bit longer since removing two screws each left some plastic loose and it took a few minutes to get all aligned and screwed tight again. The whole job took under twelve minutes and only needed a Phillips-head screwdriver. I turned the front wheels left and right to have more room and better visibility on the front. I used a shorter screwdriver for the back, but still had no problems. Thanks for the video. I could not have figured out the clips without watching this first.
Soo cute!
Did you need to jack up the car?
No, jacking is not needed.
No
Thanks ! Are those top and bottom screws on the rear mudguards (the ones with the metal clips) self tapping screws ? I have no screw holes pre drilled in that location just two “dimples”
nailbomb3 yes the screws are self tapping. No need to pre drill.

I have a 2016 Rav4 SE too but gas only. I want to do this too. Are these bulbs plug and play?
Yes, easy plug and play. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0153IZUHQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Thanks for the information. I just purchased the Mud Guards and instead of including the paper instructions in the box, they placed a notice on the outside of the box saying that the instructions were on the electronic Toyota Information System (TIS) and I should go to my dealer and ask them to print them out for me. Right. So, thanks again for this help since going blind into this installation would not be fun
Very helpful....thanks!
Thanks Michael...
