RIP Barry John 1945-2024 The Undisputed King Of Welsh And World Rugby Forever To Be Remembered!😔🙏🌹🏉🏟🏴
Before masculinity and tattoos there was Barry John, hard to say he is not the greatest.
I notice that the voiceover bloke didn't try to attempt the pronunciation of Barry's Welsh hometown. Probably would have butchered it.
Note when he ran with the ball, it was carried in both hands. It is too bad that at the test level the players are just massive. Subtly has gone.
Only One King and he hung on a cross for the worlds sins Jesus Christ call upon him to often we mock him and curse him but he cares for us and Jesus knows what’s going on your life confess and forsake your sins whatever it is fornication anger unforgivness Jesus took your sins on that day 2000 years ago your sins and my sins put him to the Cross for whosoever shall call upon the name of The Lord shall be saved For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God Jesus is waiting for you to call upon him Hallelujah
Really
Even God would have screamed "Heavens above!" when Barry ran the ball.
I saw him in his Absolute prime. Untouchable, mind boggling elusiveness. He made All black flankers looked ponderous with his amazing balance wil of the wisp dummies and body swerves. That lions backline was essentially Welsh if we're honest and adding the genius of the mercurial mike Gibson and David Duckhams brilliant, dashing running and you can't exaggerate how good they were. For me personally and yes it was the amateur era, but the finest back division to ever take the rugby field. It was a magical time for lovers of flair players.
met him absolute gentle man
A tribute in song to Barry John. ‘I wanted to be Barry John’.

What i noticed is his positional play to see things very early , even thought i have never seen him play Live on tv he is like arms length up with Edwards breaking the line , his support play is exceptional . and running exceptionally brilliant.
Barry John was the George Best of rugby union. Both legends in their sports.
Definitely yes I agree with you about this most brilliant rugby player ever I have ever seen his awesome talent in everything … that is God had created him as the best gifted rugby union player in the world by his unique all-rounded ability 🙏🏉
Agree, thanks@@jamesmcaree4908
George Best shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath.
RIP THE KING.❤
When the game was beautiful
Y dewin.
The Emperor of fly halves .
The Curtsy That Ended a Reign Just like the Dalia Lama Welsh outside halves are incarnated From their valleys: Ebbw, Rhondda, Dafen, Gwendraeth Watkins, Morgan, Bennet, Davies All forged there but only one crowned King King John who never signed away his crown The great, the Barry John Aloof might be the way to say He seldom let hands on him His silky sway of hip or head Left a wake of opposition And adulation not his goal Just perfect field side action So when a curtsy made to him In his lands from of his own He had to side step away The man was his, not for display His play his autobiography Now at peace no more regal folly The King is dead, the end of sovereignty For now the man is gone. On the death of Barry John February 4th 2024 (6.1.45 - 4.2.24) February 5th 2024

Lovely man Terry Bullingham. We were in the same Mess on HMS Antrim. Brave man.
Terry’s my brother in law. I’ve never known anyone with as much attention to detail as Terry. I’ve also never heard him say one negative thing about his days in the RN, the falklands, or even losing his sight. A real inspiration, and someone I’m proud to know and be related to. You may still communicate with him? But if not, he’s doing well and living in Peacehaven, not to far from Blind Veterans UK in Brighton.
@@robertreid9586 some of his HMS Antrim friends, me included, lost touch with him and he often comes up in comments on the ship’s FaceBook Group. Great to hear he is doing well. Please pass on my best regards, Peter Chisholm.
That is an interesting and unique piece of engineering. I personally just don't like the colour. Make it metallic Grey or have her coated in a bright 70's colour and you have a real stunner & eyecatcher.
