Rotated modules in the center floor section to simplify cooling and cable. Rerouted cable to reduce complex busbar. Added HVJB and precharge contactors to central hump. Added most of the aluminum (sky blue) and steel (light gray) cover plates. Not many mounting bolts yet though. That's a lot of detail and I'm sure I'll be making changes during fabrication. Added high voltage connectors for AC c...

This video covers the conception of PWN-E. The reasons why, donor car selection, powertrain selection, and the battery selection. #pwne

My Little PWN-E
LOL, worn down bar of soap. Nothing has been more true.
I love Tesla but they don't offer much variety. Maybe one day. 🤷♂️
My how things have changed since this video was made.
It's so true! This industry is moving crazy fast! No point in building PWNE now! Joking of course 😊 PWNE is still in progress.
Kudos for converting that mustang the correct way! I saw a similar conversion where they just slap the motor onto the transmission and kept all of the parasitic drag of the transmission, driveshaft and rear end, and called it a "conversion" probably has the range of a leaf. I wish you had more content on this build so I could subscribe and see it…
It's not done yet but thanks haha! This conversion is complex enough that, honestly, I'm all for those folks that are doing simpler conversions with shorter range. When's the last time anybody drove a 66 mustang 300 mi anyway? :-)
@@xrotaryguy I see that you're going in the right direction
I hate it. Give me the part for free, then I’ll use a sticker the size of a dinner plate 😂

Took notes from Superfastmatt, I enjoy
#superfastmatt is my favorite CZcamsr!
I thought everyone in the US just used Send-Cut-Send but Dad-Cut-Done is ok too.
🤣🤣🤣
Doing everything in CAD is pretty sweet. I get a lot from working with the materials though. Sometimes I'll realize a better configuration. Or I'll notice I can use lighter material, etc.
Excuse me sir when you finish the old Mustang at Tesla swap you also do it at Dodge Challenger 2010 model at Tesla swap please just a promise
Honestly, I just don't see the point. I know you Dodge guys love your cars but they don't really have much to offer other than a cheap car. I guess it looks better than a Tesla? Other than that, Tesla suspension is better, Tesla build quality is better... Maybe Tesla's interior ain't so great depending how a person feels about that. But considering Chrysler reliability and handling, I really don't want to build any late model Chrysler product.
Great project and video! Looking forward to the future vids, just subscribed.
Thanks, Pete!
Great video. Your cutaway gags were all funny and the overall length is just right. Looking forward to your updates in the coming years.
Thanks so much! And you're right! It'll take some time to complete this thing haha!
I've got a longer term plan to do similar with a 64 Falcon Ute. So I'll keep an eye on this build
Cool car! One of my all-time favs!!!
What's your budget on this project? Would be cool to track how much you end up spending when you are done with it :)
The big ticket items are: 3,500 motor and transaxle 16k Mustang 16k Batteries It's all spreadsheeted and gantt charted out so I do know the total with a high degree of certainty. Def figure well over $40k.
As our great emperor Palpatine once said, "I'll watch your career with great interest." This looks awesome and I'm keen for the finished result
Love it! I'll have to add some Star Wars in the next video!
Watching from Australia. Looks like a great project. Should be comparable to Electrolyte the EV Plymouth Satellite.
That Satellite is awesome! He went with a smaller battery... But still Tesla Model S modules I think...
Looks like an ambitious project!
Definitely the biggest project I've ever taken on at home!
