The Decoflame Espo
The Espo by @decoflame
The Espo is an innovative bioethanol burner that combines advanced features with a focus on design and safety.
A filling system with an external electronic pump offers several advantages to the user. It provides a more precise, controlled and drip-free filling process. When applied, the pump plug can be easily released with a mechanism on the fireplace.
With traditional manual methods, there can be a greater risk of spills or overfilling. Here, on the other hand, the bioethanol is precisely dispensed; It is both convenient and user-friendly.

    I'm certain there's an obvious reasoning behind this... I know the gel fuel burns longer by design than the straight bio-ethanol liquid, but can the gel be used safely in the elongated burner? Is it because the longer burners have a wick like material in them? Some gels now have a real to life crackle or fireplace popping sound, which adds to the ambiance. I've noticed other companies making statements against the safety of the gel fuel flame going out of control and the fluid boiling. Is it possible to use a flame controller such as the type used in chaffing canned fuels to prevent this? Just curious if anyone has tried or experimented doing these things before I go outside and burn my porch down ;-)

    Everybody is criticizing her but, she's paying for a service and she wants what she wants. They could easily use marble slabs for the surround so thats not a big deal. It looks good overall but, at ten thousands pounds over budget for that little bit of flame and surround mantel. they'd be better off with a firetable. Imo

    • @Silverado1st
      @Silverado1st Před 2 lety

      Some burners already come with a material, hidden behind a stainless steel wall in the burner. You don't have to add any, but it's a good idea to add a strip of ceramic fiber as a wick at the front side. Helps prevent worse spills as it soaks up the fluid and holds it in place, makes the flame more consistent and manageable, on the plus side it makes the fluid burn 35% longer. Many good benefits.

    I had to add another comment after reading what others wrote about this lady. Why on earth are you calling this woman an awful brat? I don't see a single thing that would make me think negatively about her. She wants a damn fireplace! What's so awful about that? If anything she may be a bit too meek. That builder is feeding her a load of BS and instead of firing his unaccommodating ass she puts up with him.

  • @seanmcaleavy2369
    @seanmcaleavy2369 Před 4 lety

    I'd get rid of that builder first thing. How the fuck does he know how much a fireplace will or will not get used? What did he say, "On average these fireplaces get used once every five years." What a load of bullshit! A fireplace can be the focal point of somebody's design concept but because he's too lazy or stupid to pull it off he just makes up some lame statistical lie. What a knob!

    I appreciate the effort and thought you've put into getting the oils' aromas into the air, but one of the major concerns I see is the amount of soot being wiped out... that soot does not only cling to the inside of the device... it is getting released into the air! You are breathing that in! The metal candle tin too, is not meant for direct contact with flame, it can melt, even burn... like a tin can in a campfire. Please be careful.

    • @Silverado1st
      @Silverado1st Před 2 lety

      Lol, that questions been buggin me for about two weeks now too. If you add those tiny ceramic fire pit logs, flame looks better at the back, but the drywall its mounted to gets warmer. If you enjoy just the blue and yellow dancing flames alone, then at the front closest to the glass would be a nicer touch and keeps the wall cooler. Heats not going to bother the glass. Personal preference I guess, can always switch it up at any time. I would also add a high heat ceramic wick in the burner, as that increases safety during spills, it soaks up most of the fluid and spills are less likely, plus it makes the flame less erratic and easier to manage and increases the burn time by 35% longer. I cut mine out of a ceramic fiber sheet they use to line pottery kilns, not to expensive and you don't have to worry about the wick burning or charring.

      Hi Julie, the fire recess is 45 cm in width and 30 cm in height. However, if you'd like to flush it in, additional space should be provided below the firebox for the burner. You can download the size drawing with the exact dimensions from our website in the Downloads section: www.biofires.com/bio-ethanol-fireplaces/29-black-graphite-onyx.html.
