Good looking work! Found some old mining claims this week in the Sierra running line. One had the original claim in the rock mound. Our new tree scribe came in but I haven’t had a chance to play with it yet, I’ll let you know how it goes.

Hey, I am looking into taking some surveying classes in KY. I have an environmental science degree with a focus area in GIS so I believe some of these classes will cross over, but my question is what is the job market like? I love being in the outdoors so I know this will be a great fit for me, but worried about finding a job after taking these classes. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. You work in some beautiful places.
There are lots of jobs! Idk specifically about in the KY area but over here in the Pacific Northwest you can get a job easy

Are you using the Great Lakes Timber Scribe? We use them in the sierras but not like that, I would appreciate more information on how you’re using that to scribe the trees.

How would you prove robot has consciousness using empirical data. How do you prove to blind man what color red is using empirical data. In theory, robot can be programmed to move its hand when it touches hot surface. How do I know its having the experience of hot using test tube(Deduction/induction). The only thing i am certain of is that i have experience of hot. This experience can only come from entity that can already experience existence (Allah-one/indivisible/self-sufficient/unique/All-Loving infinite perfection). If you cannot prove your own consciousness using “scientific method”, then how can you reject the existence of Perfect/infinite metaphysical being(Allah)? “Cogito ergo sum”( I think therefore I am) should be read as “cogito ergo est”(I think therefore Allah is).

Yeah the population dried up as soon as the resources started dwindling. I think a lot of people moved to Silverton, New Mexico and continued mining there instead

Hey man, I’m really curious to learn a little more about how you got into land surveying. I’m really considering pursuing it after getting out of the Coast Guard. Did you have to go to school for it, or did you just start working for someone?
Howdy! I went to school at Oregon Tech in Klamath Falls, OR and got a BS in Geomatics with an option in Land Surveying. After graduation I got a job with the Forest Service and now I'm with the Bureau of Land Management. Are you on the West coast?

Mine isn’t showing to the same decimal place, how do I extend that?
Select the left shift button (yellow button), select 1 for FIX and then type the number of decimal places you want to display
