I was about 10 when my family got stuck in a blizzard on our way to Colorado for a funeral. My dad had the window down so he could hear the road. I remember not being scared because I was enjoying the whole thing. Autism has weird hyper focus. I really wanted to be a storm chaser from that point on because storms were fascinating. Now as an adult who’s driven in Blizzards…. I have emergency supplies for accidents or health issues stranding me on the roadside. But normally I don’t drive in the snow anymore.
