Excellently done. Glad I'm not the only one who does rust like this.

There are many ways to get a nice rust effect but in my opinion this is the most fun and natural!

Excellent work, unfortunately theses days I can't even see a 6mm figure let alone paint one.

For sure, it can be a challenge. I have found that regardless of the time that went into this one officer, for the most part, painting a strip of red coats red and a dab of pink for the face and black for the hat will do the trick at this scale!

Looking great! And that first 20 seconds really spoke to my soul 😁 Theres a lot you can achieve with the absolute basic materials like matchsticks, card and coffee stir sticks. One thing Ive found really useful for ruined buildings (I make them as you do, with double corrugated card) is to use a tub of that premixed polyfiller you can get in poundshops or B&Q and put a light layer over the walls, and use it to fill in the edges of the corrugation. It dries really quick and can be painted up to look like concrete, or plaster or whatever!

thats a great tip! I will have to try that out for sure. Yes I was getting a bit stuck with complex builds so fancied something more old school!

Been working on some of the ACW from commission figurines and have been blown away by them. The level of detail Walter manages to get in them is honestly amazing. Not only that but the prices mean you can build huge armies without breaking the bank!

I washed mine with watered down pva and then painted directly on, I found this worked very well, I agree, that getting the colours to pop is what counts with 6mm. I adore commission figurines.
