Strumpshaw Classic Car Show 23 June 2024
This is Helen's short video of the classic cars at Strumpshaw Hall, Norfolk on a nice sunny day. We finally made it there in our Caddy after major diversions due to road building and our TomTom satnav planning cul-de-sacs instead of through roads (I have now binned it). While our major interest is in American cars, the whole display was very impressive.

Old Town Kissimmee Cruise Nights

Old Town in Kissimmee, Florida (near Orlando) is a quaint shopping and entertainment complex famous for the weekly car cruises on Fridays (Muscle cars) and Saturdays (Classic cars). We have been going to see them for years as the atmosphere is great, and some of the small shops (e.g. Tiki Jim's) are well worth visiting. This will probably be our last visit here, unfortunately, so please enjoy t...

Just revisited your delightful video and have a cheeky question. The background sound @2.50 sounds rather like London Transport's sub-surface stock? The raised cable run between the signal box and road overbridge is a really nice touch - Colin. 🙂

Thank you for your kind comments, Colin. To be honest, I haven't been as meticulous as I should have been with my filing system- indeed I seem to have lost some precious ones since moving home. I used to make tape recordings in the 60s and 70s and also had some commercial sound effects vinyl records. I have more recently used my camcorder to obtain sound tracks and then used them on my model railway videos. The particular track in question might well be a London Transport tube train (rather than surface stock). I have avoided using sounds of modern trains as the sounds are completely different.
