Recognizing & Enforcing Cross-Border Dispute Resolutions: Weighing in on International Law Treaties
Muhammad Faridi, President of the New York City Bar Association, is joined by Boaz Morag, a Counsel at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton and one of the lead drafters of a recent City Bar report analyzing for the Office of the Legal Advisor in the U.S. Department of State three private international law treaties: the Hague Convention on Choice of Courts Agreements (COCA), the Hague Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Judgments in Civil and Commercial Matters (Judgments Convention), and the UN Convention on International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation (Singapore Convention).
These treaties deal with the cross-border recognition and enforcement of court judgments and mediated settlement agreements. We investigate the purpose and impact of these treaties on current practice in this country and on U.S. litigants who seek to enforce U.S. courts judgments abroad, the status of the treaties, and the detailed recommendations provided in the City Bar report. The episode provides an in-depth exploration of the potential benefits of these conventions for litigants seeking to have their judgments and settlements enforced internationally as well as the intricacies involved in implementing these treaties in the United States.

Wow! If you want the real science of climate collapse, go to C3S (Copernicus Climate Change Service, EU) for their extensive website and recent publication, "Hottest May on record spurs call for climate action", wherein you'll find this: in the 3 1/2 yrs. since the 1991-2020 baseline, global temp has increased 0.75 degC, or 0.214 degC/yr. on ave., so we can expect, at this rate of climb, 2 degC by 2027, 3 degC by 2032 and a 1 degC increase every 5 yrs. thereafter. We won't be here but any child unlucky enough to be born today may see the existential 6 degC by 2047, when he/she is just able to turn 23 and burn the hell up, while rueing the day they were born and hating the guts of their selfish clueless parents. I lived in the Finger Lakes area 1974-1986 and back packed many times in my beloved Adirondack Mts. Go to C3S and make your own assessment of our future prospects.

For anyone who wants to look at cases of international crimes that Noam speaks of in most of his lectures on international war crimes(usually by the US) there are two main world court bodies called: ICC and ICJ. International Criminal Court and International Court of Justice. The United States isn't a member of the ICJ and abstained from being a member with the 80+ major countries that did. Since the US isn't a member individuals of the United States can't be prosecuted by the ICJ and the US basically ignores every international justice body. Obviously it's because the US would be found guilty for hundreds of Human Rights Violations, Crimes on Humanity, International War Crimes and Numerous counts of Genocide whether the genocide was executed directly or indirectly on the people of those nations. You can look up the international laws, world court documents and how many times the US has been determined by world court bodies to be guilty of War Crimes and Crimes on Humanity. I've seen a ton of questions and confusion about the international record and where to look.

Prof Noam Chomsky who is humanly time and again leading us humans to awaken and live as humans. The new world order is mighty are not only powerful but righteous. In India the educated elite Indian armed forces have done evil deeds on me and when sort help was described mentally insane. Presently handed over to Tashi Namgyal Academy School in Gangtok. Last five years the wisdom of great human Dalai Lama is being used. With results very unfortunate. Hopefully my country will be proving that our god is not only mighty but also righteous. The mighty world order be highly successful in their endeavours. Love and peace to all.

Why does the bar association think it is appropriate to give its imprimatur to radical political views of any stripe? I am growing quite tired of being told what to think politically by the bar association. The more I am told what to think by anybody the more reactionary I grow against the views I am being told I must espouse.

I get it. What the hell is 1 to do? Even to just try your best seems not good enough. My heart hurts for this Planned Net/Planet. Lets all have a good workweak so we can make it to the weakend so all the worlds Religons can prey on us well worry about our income when its the outcome that ( matters). I would like to ask the Dr about the English language. Seems a little fishy to me. There is a force here good bad whatever you wanna call it. But that force is in direct opposition to any goal a group of humans will or may have. It infiltrates the minds of humans in any and all cases. It is like the pull of a magnet. To this day The Native Americans in my opinon came the closest to dispelling whatever the energy is by doing dances and chanting until exhaustion. To dispell this very thing energy spell cast archon demon angel gin etc. Real time complicated (soulutions) Im afraid are not gonna work unless the unit or group of humans are in charge are acting accordingly. Good luck with that humans just cant act right when money material power wealth health race gender etc are at play. If humans could have a helicopter veiw so to speak of are maturity well we would look worse than a hoard of pigs. At this point there a good even great human beings legendary but Im afraid it is just not enough. If Atlantis is true then the reality of Earth is a true hierarchy that just can never be broken. The answer for me is there is no answer. Complicated is just not gonna do it. No matter if your solution is equivalent to the equation 1 + 1 equals 2 in this case 1 + 1 equals 0 why because neither one of the ones can hold value when you have a force directly in opposition of it cancels it out.

Since she is so active in the Defense of America's interests, have her identify America in 2023 then: 1) identify those whose interests she serves, is it: a) the State and the Government leadership i.e. Executive , Congressional, and Judicial b) the unelected Bureaucracy including offices of: IRS; FBI; Homeland Security; EPA; Dept. of Justice; Office of Misinformation (or whatever name it has been awarded); and all the other departments that have been awarded authority to grant themselves power to establish regulations and write policy that establish violations privilege and punishment as if it were law. c) the allowance for laundering tax dollars d) the allowance for Corporate consolidations in partnership with the state; I hesitate to refer to a Government as this Government is the people, by original Constitutional title, of the individual States. e) is it the War Industrial Complex machine Is she in the business of discriminately excusing obvious nefarious activities of the elites in power and their families, while pursuing all those marked as unfavorable, and any citizens who speak to questioning the activities of the elites? I see the greatest defense efforts being spent on protecting conforming elites in their retention of power. Can she give reason, with factually provable evidence why my suspicions are not right? I have lost faith, and she is a part of the reason why; the lies keep unfolding. Why does Fauci run free?

If you look at the citys budget, and how much of that total budget, is aloted for the police forces and the gov employees. When you see whats left, you start understand why thers no money, for the improvments to our communitys. Look around at some of the other models, out there you see that the police forces are much more educated, instead if six months, which is ridiculous, its like anywhere from two years to four years of education. And they have proved to be much more effective, they have much closer ties with thier communities, there crimes rates are much lower, and theres alot less violence. There are parts of the world where police dont even carry fire arms, because thier approach is not based on force but commpassion, the way that thier police operate garners respect from thier communities, because they believe that the police are honest and trust worthy, so they are not afraid to ask thier police for help, because they dont have to worry about the police showing up beating the shit out them and hauling them off to a cage and forgotten about .

Puerto Rico is never going to be a state and it never should. There is way to many obstacles blocking it from happening that is near too impossible. And if somehow it did happen it would be detrimental to both the US and Puerto Rico financially, politically, and culturally. Christina Ponsa Kraus works with PR51st, a pro-Puerto Rico statehood group in the US that is in cahoots with the very corrupt statehood party PNP and lead by former corrupt and ousted governor of Puerto Rico Ricardo Rossello.
