In this video, I will provide a high level overview of how to use Cengage's Statistical Analysis and Learning Tool (SALT). I will discuss how to import data as a .csv file and how to utilize all of the tabs available.
Creating frequency and relative frequency distributions using SALT
zhlédnutí 46Před 2 měsíci
In this video, you will see how to create frequency and relative frequency tables (distributions) using Cengage's Statistical Analysis and Learning Tool (SALT). This example is based upon OpenStax's Section 1.3 of Elementary Statistics. #frequencydistribution #frequencytable #SALT #statistics #relativefrequency
Elementary Statistics - Z-scores that separate the middle - TI-84
zhlédnutí 9KPřed 3 lety
In this video, I will explain 2 problems about calculating z-scores. The first problem is, "Find the Z-scores that separate the middle 12% of the distribution from the area in the tails of the standard normal distribution." The second problem is, " IQ scores are approximately normal with a mean of 100 and a standard deviation of 15. Identify the IQ scores that separate the middle 80% of people."
Calculating Probabilities and Z-scores of Normal Distributions: Normalcdf vs InvNorm
zhlédnutí 415Před 3 lety
In this video, I will discuss the normalcdf and invNorm functions on the TI-83 and 84 calculators. We will talk about the differences between these two functions. We will differentiate between 9 different problems and decide when to use each method. Percentiles Area on the left Area on the right Area in the middle
Hypothesis Testing P-value Approach
zhlédnutí 75Před 4 lety
In this video, we will conduct Hypothesis Testing using the P-value approach. With our population mean problems, we do not know the population standard deviation.
Hypothesis Testing Confidence Interval Approach
zhlédnutí 359Před 4 lety
In this video, we will perform Hypothesis Testing on 2-tailed mean and proportion problems using the Confidence Interval Approach. For the mean problems, the population standard deviation is unknown.
How to Calculate Critical Values for Hypothesis Testing
zhlédnutí 249Před 4 lety
In this video, we will cover how to calculate critical values based on the normal and Student's t distributions. If you want to see how to calculate critical values for confidence intervals, watch this video instead: czcams.com/video/WcbHvMiuDe4/video.html If you need the invT program for your calculator, you can watch the CZcams video: czcams.com/video/tspjq6wgYhY/video.html or input the progr...
Normal Distributions Versus Sampling Distributions
zhlédnutí 670Před 5 lety
In this video, I will review the differences and similarities between normal distributions and sampling distributions (of the sample mean and the sample proportion). We will also review how to describe each distribution and calculate the corresponding probabilities.
Hypothesis Testing - Classical Approach
zhlédnutí 936Před 5 lety
In this video, I will review the process of performing hypothesis testing using the Classical (Traditional Approach). We will review how to calculate the critical value, the critical (rejection) region, the test statistic, and how to interpret the test.

Maybe the sound interference was aliens who for some reason don't want us humans to find out about logs?

  • @helenday5031
    @helenday5031 Před rokem

Even though sadly the sound went bubbly, I found this lesson STILL understandable and very helpful. It helped me to graph the function of log to the base 4 of x, onto my new calculator. (I then tested the graph with various values of x, to check it worked and was accurate and it did) That I understood the lesson even without the sound is perhaps a sign of a good teacher. Something similar happened to me recently with some Indian speaking teacher (Urdu or Punjabi or whatever it was) on CZcams - I only had his pictures and diagrams to go on, but thankfully I still found his lesson most helpful

a grade is a measure of 6 units rise/drop in 100 units.....so id just do 1100 / 6 =183.33333333......... then you'd times by 100, or move the decimal over 2 places as its 100....so 18333.33. much quicker and easier for finding out grades
