@@user-zd4vb5pd6q Thanks, not much difference doing 502, the main things are probably the helmet markings and the white cords. Doing 502 then gives me an excuse to have lots of scrim and a British Made item.

Thanks, I just flicked over to your film and the cinematography is outstanding, as well as the editing, a really high quality film. With this film, like yours, the story is kind of made up. However my newest film (link below) has a lot more story and I've tried to keep the authenticity of it as high as possible. @@Parrotrooper Where do you come across those stories? Do you read books or what?

@@PhinehasMilton Dan Mackay from Miss Drop 44 has a lot of knowledge, you also get to read websites if you hunt enough, there's no specific place I can tell you, it's a bit of here and there really. If you want good books, Carentan part 1, 2 & 3 by Michel De Trez are really good. Watching interviews and stories from veterans also helped, one of the characters in my new film was inspired by Dan McBride in F company 502PIR.

Hahaha, I just had nothing better to do, so I stocked up on videos to make, I've probably still got half a dozen from Normandy. Hopefully I'll get some proper videos done from the upcoming events.

Usually I’m a medic, but for films or combat roles I’m a Mortar assistant gunner, according to the TO&E they got M1a1s as well as the mortar gunner and machine gunner.

@@debbiecollins6665 Yes, I don’t think you see his white T-shi(r)t in the video, but I got him to wear the scarf so you don’t see it. By the way, do you know someone called Dan Mackay from Miss Drop 44? I he usually has the same comments about CC2, 1911s, white t-shirts etc.

@@debbiecollins6665 Hahaha, thanks, yes I tried to scrunch up his gas brassard when he wasn’t looking but he said it’d wear on its own eventually. Since we’re doing 3/506, most pictures don’t show them using scrim so I might get him to dump it entirely. I’ve tried persuading him about the boots, but I don’t know if he will change them. CC2 is an important part of an impression, I have replicated it on mine, and tried to persuade him to do so on his.

@@Parrotrooper its hard to find people with the same drive to be authentic

@@debbiecollins6665 Absolutely correct, in NZ the excuse usually “It’s too hot to wear wool”, but why not have an OD vest instead? But that hasn’t stopped me from wearing the M37 wools under my M42s, though I did have the jacket zipper down most of the time 😆

@@Parrotrooper yes you can weasr the oatmeal thermal or od vests under your 42s but remember 99.9 percent of the soldiers had to put up with the heat
