Very informative review, I'm thinking of this car a lot now but I'm kinda worry about the engine performance. Is it good for long drive trips? I can tell it's good and practical for everyday drive but i though maybe it's better idea to go with bigger engine 🤔 what do you think based on your experience? My dude these cars r not meant for wrestlers lol thats why there minis :) shoulda got a audi a3 or vw gti u also have a john cooper works expensive bmw parts with a turbo engine. Not cheap

You'd probably want to change the title and description.. There is no such thing as a CLA AMG 180.. Also, the CLA180 is not an AMG product so you'd probably want to call it an AMG-Line.

I totally agree! It will get chipped 😜. Then it will probably has something like 175bhp.
I'm putting a downpipe and k&n box with cone filter and than ecu tune it, almost 200hp from what I can guess

Yep I still have the car :-). Engine is not bad at all, it's smooth powerfull enough for the car and my daily driving. I wish the gearbox was a little faster sometimes.

You are completely right! I recorded the video, had limited time and later I realized it was a six in line engine! 😣 I need to do this way more often to get the hang of it haha!

Het verbruik als je ‘zuinig’ rijdt ligt op ongeveer. 1 op 13 a 1 op 13,5. Maar dan moet je wel je best doen. Normaliter eerder 1 op 11 of 1 op 12. 😄
Maintenance on those cars, you have to do it on your own otherwise you go broke lol. BMW life, anything is expensive.
Does your sun roof make too much noise when you are on highway? I also have a R56 Mini and the sun roof noise is so annoying.
Didn't really have any issues with that tbh. I had a wind deflector though, I assume you have that as well?
Every review I have seen visibility was always exceptional?
I think as someone else mentioned here in the comments, that in the US it’s no problem. The visibility around you is very good. But the front windows is pretty steep :-).
Problem#5 is not a problem in North America because our traffic lights are farther down the intersection.

Heb je problemen gehad met de APK met de de-cat downpipe? Ik denk erover om eenzelfde te halen, aangezien een sport-cat 2x zoveel kost.
Hey Dexter! Nee gelukkig niet ;-). Ik heb de foutmelding die naar voren kan komen laten weg programmeren. Ze lezen een auto uit bij de APK. Als er dan niets staat wordt het verder ook niet onderzocht. Ik zou het gewoon doen!😁👍🏼

Hey man! I think it was absolutely great! Awesome tones and a really good base. Depending on the extra money you have to pay I think it’s worth paying a little more. But it also depends on if you find audio important :-).

Well you had bad luck because your JCW came with the N14 engine and not N18 like the later models, normally even the cooper S with the N18 is a little faster or the same with less HP and the reliability is much better but not the best... i think that every new mini owner should try to DIY maintenance because is the best solutions for this little cars!! PS: you will fit like a glove in the back seats if it was a R55 clubman, they have surprisingly good space in the back seats
Yeah the clubman is larger. And of course I do know that the Mini is a small car. Didn’t buy it to travel long distances with 3 people onboard haha. But still needed to mention it😄. Yeah you’re probably right about the N18 engine. I never drove a N18 version. I do miss the Mini now. But I am also happy that I have a more comfortable car now that I can use for everything :-).
I thought the 2011+ came with the n18.

These are horrible cars. I have a 2013 s hatchback. I agree maintenance cost out of control. The power is ok. I replace the center arm rest with an all leather piece that stays out of the way when not needed. The old one had plastic parts that melted into an ugly looking mess. I agree visibility is really poor and back seats not functionless.
Happy to see that I am not the only one facing these ‘issues’ haha.
