Look into Echo Red Armor oil if you want a better mix oil than Stihl ultra. Leaves a nice film on the piston. I run my 461 at 40:1. The Red Armor will clean any carbon off the piston from the previous owner. Great stuff.

What are your angle settings?
All depends what chain I'm using and what I'm using it for. Usually between 30-40° tilt and 25° top plate angle

Tasmanian gum. I'm not sure what cotton wood is
Cottonwood grows along water ways in the United States, grows very big in 30 -40 foot range and has a big green leaf that is golden in the fall
It's tasmanian hardwood. A type of gum tree, definitely not soft wood
