Long before Baltimore R&B group dru Hill you had legendary Baltimore groups John and Arthur Sims the fabulous friends /Jimmy briscoe and the little beavers /first class/the softones/and the only Baltimore group that was on a major record label was the spindles who were assigned to gamble and huff Philadelphia international records and we must not forget mr. Billy Griffin who sang with the miracles as the lead singer when Smokey Robinson Left The group and we must not forget the Baltimore radio stations they gave these Baltimore legendary groups air play WSID 1010am WEBB 1360am and WWIN 1400am and a special thanks to WPFW 89.3fm Washington d.c. who is still playing these groups music every Saturday morning starting at 6 a.m.til 11am the reason why I know these things I was part of that 60s 70s soul music Mob that kept us listening to the radio 📻 congratulations to first class and the softones this was a great ceremony 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🤜🏽🎶🤛🏽

I love it! This is beyond awesome!!!Seeing all the Motown superstars in the early years before they became the legends that they all would later become. Raw talent at it's best. To think they likely had no idea how they would change the world through their music. Thank you for posting this video.

Who is Stevie ' s conductor? Choker Campbell takes the first sax chair for his set. And who is the bass player who leads the band during Mary Wells' set? It is NOT James Jamerson who along with Benny Benjamin on drums are on the Miracles set that closes the show.

Love how Martha flings that teddy bear off to the side! The Supremes still hadn't had a Top 40 hit by then, and I think singing a ballad for this appearance, however good, was a mistake.
