November 5, 2022 Hadestown on Broadway Sayo Oni is my favorite Orpheus in Hadestown. He can hit the falsettos but sometimes chooses to use a gritty rock sound instead that sounds incredible.

I saw him over the weekend while Stephanie Mills was still out and he was PHENOMENAL. I loved the energy he brought to Hermes

Jordan Fisher’s Epic II is true insanity. Someone tell him he’s allowed to use head voice for that ending lmao😭 (I absolutely love it tho, Orpheus with belty, almost rock vocals is very cool sounding even if the softness of the character is less pronounced)

Lillias happened to be out when u saw the show last summer, and as much as I like her, I am so thankful I got to see him. Such an incredible Hermes, and I’ll tell you: as tall as he is, he can MOVE.
This is amazing but I worry about the maintenance of his voice. This recording is like no other IMO. Gut wrenching lay beautiful!
I was discouraged when I saw the 2019 Tony performance, but now I’m really intrigued bc I love Jordan! Tysm for this bc I’m poor😂

While I definitely prefer Reeve when it comes to the softer, elegant parts and falsetto (of which there are a lot), I never knew how hard Jordan Fisher’s belting would go on songs like “If It’s True,” “Epic II,” and the main la la la segment of “Epic III.” Both versions of the character are definitely welcome
He truly is. I swear this man doesn’t get enough acknowledgment for how phenomenal and passionate he is in every project he’s in.

Loved these 2 in the show- really wanted to see them again before they left esp Solea - I can't imagine anyone being better than her in the role. Incredible.
Solea is surprisingly pitchy in a lot of spots - she added so many effects and vocal inflections to sound particularly soulful but I think it's completely overpowering the simplicity and beauty of the music. Normally a big fan of her vocal colouring.
It was her final show. She was probs hella emotional
@@grandeflamesbutera3949 no, she was just as pitchy and made just as ...interesting choices when I saw her on january 10th. she was the weak spot of the cast, and betty who wasn't there that night either.

There were days where Eva & Reeve sounded incredibly bad. 8 shows a week as Eurydice isn’t a walk in the park so I wouldn’t call Solea “the weakest member” when she is a powerhouse vocalist who brought in a new portrayal to Eurydice on the Bway stage after 5-6 years of Eva
@@grandeflamesbutera3949 dude, she actively detracted from my enjoyment of the show. she was noticeably bad. I had went in blind and left wishing she wasn't in the cast. everyone else was wonderful, and they had some understudies in. if everyone else can do 8 shows a week, and solea couldn't keep up, maybe she shouldn't be on broadway with the rest of them. powerhouse or not, her vocal performance was poor and as I said before, she was the weak link in an otherwise strong and vibrant cast. I have never been to a show (and I've been to dozens) where I wished one cast member wasn't in the cast. and my high school bully's little sister played lydia deetz the night I saw beetlejuice. never in my life have I heard a broadway performance so off-putting. I'm glad she's gotten replaced.
I was at this show live and I promise she was phenomenal live! She made the show for me. She was certainly very emotional, and it definitely played into performance, but it never once distracted from her if anything it just made it better. I saw OBC and I will be just as bold to say that I preferred Soleas performance. Eva was so wonderful of course but at the end of the day, everyone has their preferences.

She’s a Broadway legend in the making. Truly some of the best vocals I have ever heard on every role she’s played.

Omg, Solea’s “Wait For Me (Reprise)” has really changed (in a good way) since the promos ❤️❤️❤️. She was a great pick for this role & will be missed. Edit: Jordan’s sobs at the beginning of Road To Hell II… dude… 😢
Solea and Jordan are a magic pair. Along with Phillip and Lillias leading the way? So much power. So many tears. The whole show had a new meaning for me when I saw this cast. Profound. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
We saw it on the 3rd with Brandon Cameron - also a magic pair. Both were fantastic.
