Drilling for Science - The Making of the IceCube Neutrino Observatory
zhlédnutí 4,9KPřed 3 měsíci
Of all the science projects and experiments in Antarctica, the IceCube Neutrino Observatory is by far the biggest and most difficult to build. Although the visible part of IceCube appears deceptively simple, the real challenge was placing the sensors that have allowed IceCube to make multiple major scientific discoveries. See the Facility Tour and Science of IceCube here: czcams.com/video/gLbeg...

The US detonated 928 nuclear bombs above ground in Arizona. Very clever.
What a failure of a project
I'm sure we'll get there, I'll be dead and gone, tho.
What do you do for a living?
I went with my family when I was a kid, and I enjoyed it. I would like to go again someday.
That's so interesting about the cough/cold. But running out of fresh fruit? No apples? That's a sad day, man.
Bro tryna look like inmate Tate
Can't even pronounce Antarctica, classic American
Coins is the only surprise
Petrified Forest National Park is absolutely amazing. And while you will see a lot of quartz, what you won't see is amethyst. There used to be a great deal, before taking it was made illegal. Take only pictures, leave only footprints.
It was 4800 years ago during Noah's flood.Stop lying and tell the truth. If you're capable of telling the truth.
The fact that you specifically say apple for the second one is interesting because the lack of apples is definitely just a transportation issue since apples are typically stored for 9-12 months in cold storage between being picked and when they're sold, at least in the US. So, if the transportation isn't an issue you could have an entire year's worth of apples delivered at once and not worry about them going bad.
Absolutely useless information, but good to know, i guess. 😂
So cool! Let’s hope that we don’t get a lot of morons in there like in Yellowstone!
I haven’t had a cold since COVID hit either-masking on public transport and now-routine rigorous hand hygiene has absolutely been worth it. I also mask when time+crowd density suggests it’s a wise choice.
I love watching your videos ❤❤😊

Perfectly reasonable. I'll take 2... AND THE DELIVERY PLATFORM, to go... xxx :-)
Oh, I've been there..👌
Honestly, that’s not that unfeasible for the future
The fact that he worked it all out is impressive 👏 🙌 👌
I dont think petrified wood, quartz, anu of that. Is strong enough to last millions of years. It'd have been eroded away. Turned to a dust pit.
"A lot of you have been asking me about...." = Biggest lie on all social media pages.
Still have my souvenir from there.
Allegedly

Wow.the earth is only 6000 yrs old though.you can create a fossil in 35 yrs
The great flood during Noah’s time. Super cool evidence! Thanks!
Beautiful! I like it!

Wow, who counted all those 200 million years? 😂😂😂😂

Do your research dummy it doesn’t take millions of years to petrified anything, you’re welcome.😉
Just go out there to smoke blunts
