Breaker bar and small pipe - no need heat
useless!!!
I just recently replaced the turbo charger to my 2017 Encore (about $4,500). The mechanic told me the same. The metal turbo oil supply line was completely clogged. I did the research and found out it's not the turbo that goes bad, but the oil supply line that gets clogged because the metal supply line is too close to the manifold leading to oil being cooked in the oil supply line clogging it in time resulting in the turbo not getting oil. Just like arteries being clogged leading to heart attacks and strokes. This is poor engineering on Buicks part. There are two easier solutions to this problem. 1) Manufacture a custom metal tube and routing it away from the manifold or 2) Wrapping the metal supply line with a high heat resistant tape like what was done with mine. The mechanic stated most of the new replacement kits are now coming with high heat resistant tape. So, it's not that it is a faulty or poorly manufactured turbo charger. I suggest that the metal oil supply line be changed "often" in order to prevent premature turbo replacement. It only cost around $30 to $50 depending on where you buy it. Much cheaper than a turbo (ouch!!!). Also change the oil sooner than the recommended oil change is suggested. Keep in mind, even though you may change your oil on time or sooner, does not guarantee the oil supply line will not get clogged, even with the high heat resistant tape.
Correct the shop I hade replace my turbo didn’t replace the oil line and caused it to fail again so I ended up doing it myself and finding the clogged line
Thanks 💯💯💯
Appreciate the help 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thank you
Never use extension if you want torque on impact
Whut about the emergency brake ?
what exhaust are you running
Do you have a link for the parts you ordered?
Don’t ever use Harbor freight paint guns. I know from experience.
The new black widow from there is pretty good but this one definitely had. Orange peel
What did you do for alternator and starter wiring
What is the mileage on car when manifold failed? I currently have 89 thousand on 2014 Chevy Cruze Lt with turbo and 1.4 liter. Thanks for the video any feedback appreciated

What’s the recall? We just had this problem.
@@Gageleavitt25 i got a letter from Buick This letter is intended to make you aware that some 2018 models year Buick Encore Vehicles equipped with a 1.4L turbo gas engine...... mine was having a ridiculous hard start with white smoke for about a month. after that i started driving one day n the shit wouldn’t go more than 30 mph. Also couldn’t get it passed 30mph. Started shuddering on me then died on me. I now have crank no start.
I’d check the crank position sensor. First then go from there. You’re supposed to see the tachometer moving while cranking.
@@carsntrucks782 first thing i replaced man
Heck yea Bro. Good looking out
Thanks for the help! I was looking for the sensor and couldn't find it. Guess it was just blocked from view by the intake piping.
Good job 👍🏼
Just did the same thing on my 85 c10
Can you show me how you hook up your carburetor mainly on the throttle side im having problems with the exact car and carburetor
I don’t have this car around anymore. I just used the existing parts for the throttle and kick down cables. You might need a. Aftermarket kit of some sort
How many sensors
There’s 2 sensors one is upstream this one is downstream
What are the O2 sensor part number what wrench did you use to remove what size.
@@josecortez3169 I think it was a 7/8 wrench they also sell a special socket
Is that whistling normal??
Yes it’s because the rest of the exhaust wasn’t installed yet.
Mine has an exhaust leak and bad turbo it sounds really rough and whistles any suggestions?
Can I suggest you use a laser pointer for better identification of various parts and brackets 😊
ah yes before chevy started making trash
You show an engine. Show us how strong it is......
Seeing this makes me want to replace the knuckle
On this particular repair for the O2 sensor downstream having a hard time seeing exactly where it's located from your point of view are you under
Yes under the vehicle
@@carsntrucks782 is it accessible up top of under the hood
@@theJuanderingprospector I found it easier from underneath. Up top was to difficult for me.

You got the wrong coolant in there my boy
Good work but your videos are really really not of the teaching style. At all.
I have this same blower but it doenst throw snow that far ever. It has a new belt on it also. Any ideas?
Maybe dirty carb or just lower compression from being worn out. What 2stroke oil are you using?
Also depends how wet and heavy the snow is. This machine seems very powerful to me.
@carsntrucks782 I feel like a rookie with this mistake but I forgot to put less pressure for tension with the new belt no wonder why it got wore out so fast.
That coolant line is the fucking reason why very engineer who designed or signed off on this placement to be fired AND blacklisted from working in any automotive position ever.
Welcome to 2024 though. Where all the cars are worthless.
I have a TH700R4. My TV cable doesn't self-adjust like that but it should normally. What i do whenever i need to readjust when swaping carburetors, i back out the high step screw so that the throttle rests on its curb idle position. Press and hold button on the TV cable housing while pressing down push in the nipple, then simply press again and it retracts to its proper travel without touching the throttle. It's usually not adjusted in this manner. Mine might be broken. It should self retract when throttle is pulled given if it has proper geometry regrading their brackets. I can swap the TV Cable for another but this has worked for my step without any issues so i don't consider the hassle of swapping. If the TV Cable doesn't hold its position within the housing, absolutely replace it. I've seen people place screws and wire to keep it from sliding out. Now that's just looking for trouble.
You need the emergency brake bar
