Hi there, great vlog. Ive not done that side of Turkey, as a single 53 year old man where would you recommend? Ovacik, Fethiye, Olu Deniz or Callis? I dont mind a bar with some chilled music, but dont like loud etc. What would you recommend, I was thinking of Callis.

GORKEM HOTEL. I had an incredibly bad experience at the Gorkem hotel ovacik which was booked through Travel Republic. The staff made me feel unwelcome, and the breakfast was dire-a half slice of sausage if I was lucky, not enough to feed a cat, with the dog that was begging for food at the table. The room was poorly attended; a wet bath towel was left outside to dry and was never changed. The cleaner left the door open, leaving the room unsecured. There was no fridge, and the shower water was warm if I was lucky in the morning and freezing cold at night. When I came back late after enjoying my day away, I ordered a drink from an unmotivated barman. The security guard mentioned that the barman wanted to go to bed soon. It was very dangerous walking back from the main road where the bus stops to the hotel at night. There was no street lighting, and packs of wild dogs were roaming. Solo travelers could easily be robbed by locals or attacked by dogs. Overall, the room was basically clean but lacked a fridge, had a poor shower, and had poor room security. The customer service was abysmal, and the staff were unmotivated. Additionally, calls from an adjacent mosque at 4:00 a.m. woke me in the early hours of the morning. Travel Republic was responsible for this fiasco. I would give this hotel a rating of 1/10. J'ai eu une expérience incroyablement mauvaise dans cet hôtel, réservé via Travel Republic. Le personnel m'a fait sentir indésirable et le petit-déjeuner était désastreux-une demi-tranche de saucisse si j'avais de la chance, à peine de quoi nourrir un chat, avec le chien qui mendiait de la nourriture à table. Great scenery, great video, genuine people. The Scottish landscape is exceptional, especially off the beaten track. Did a day trip around Loch Lomond when I was studying at Glasgow Uni in the early 80s. Never forget those memories. No GoPros or Digital cameras back then, just a few grainy photos have survived. Watching you guys enjoying yourselves is wonderful.
