I’m back with another unedited, spur of the moment video showcasing my custom Boba Fett and some other pieces I’ve worked on.
Do forgive the shakiness of the camera in the beginning, the phone stand I was using turned out to not be terribly sturdy.

Dan (Gary Sinise) Benjamin Buford "Bubba" Blue (Mykleti Williamson) and Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks). Amazing custom! I’m aware this was made three years ago haha but by chance do you remember what kind and color paint you used to go over the shirt and shoulders?
Oh I surely do! I use DecoArt parts primarily, like the stuff you can get at Walmart. I used a mix of Camel and Beige. They also have a colour called Coffee which is perfect for skin tone with a little white added.

I think this is my favorite Damtoys 1/12 Vietnam figure so far. The articulation & QC is solid & the M60 is pretty sweet. I did run into a snag when I broke one of the ammo belts but I repaired it by gluing the inner halves to a tiny paper strip. The fix is hidden when he's wearing it. I also got another M60 off ebay for my 1/12 armory ( mostly Little Armory guns ). The only criticism is that it would've been nice to have at least one alternate facial expression. This line has some very nicely detailed accessories.

A bit late...but to stop there joints slipping about try placing white tac into the joints, trust me it works good. "Thumbs up" btw what vietnam make of clothing did you use?

F Kadsoon hey thanks! The base body is a Marvel Legends Ego figure, from the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 two-pack. The Kurt Russell figure. I just trimmed his wrist guards and removed his belts, then painted him up.
Really great stuff, and a wonderful trip into the realm of late nineties/early-two thousands nostalgia, the heyday of Star Trek and Star Wars gaming. Thank you for breaking down the build, as I'll try to do something similar myself in the near future.
