I didn't see you react to "As you wish"; have you not seen The Princess Bride? If not, do so, posthaste. Also: your coach limit question has been answered but i'll add: most pro leagues (in America, at least) have a salary cap that caps how much you can pay *the players* but there's none on coaches; a potential advantage ("overpaying" assistant coaches for quality) that no organization that I'm aware of has ever exploited. Although there's only so much coaching can do, and you wouldn't want coaches stepping on each others toes with conflicting messages (so coaches specialize: forwards, breakout, defense, goalie, power play, penalty kill, etc).

No limit to how many coaches you can have, but a limit to how many can be on the sideline. MLS has followed the Premier League's new example now, though - only one can stand. Here in Atlanta, we actually have a fun game at the training ground where our coaches (and occasional front office member, our technical director/VP is an ex-pro player 😄) play members of the press corps. We have no problem finding 11. Other general "soccer stuff": that thing where Roy takes Issac to play against the street ballers is one of my favorites in the whole series. We have a charity organization here that's building 'mini-pitches' like that around the city. Some of them are even in our mass-transit stations, so that poor kids can just get on a bus/train and go play. Trying to make it more like basketball here. Somebody's got a ball, all you need is a place to play on every street corner. One of our star players is a local. His dad owns a successful pizza place, and helped build one next to his original restaurant. There technically isnt a limit to the number of coaches a team can have, but most leagues have restrictions for how many can be on the sideline during a game, which I think is 7.

This is, I think, my favorite episode of the entire show. I love the constant rom-com references, and the absolute legend that is Roy Kent.

All the rom-com analogies during this episode to woo Roy are friggin hilarious.

I studied a unit of Sports Economics and looked at the coaching staff at Liverpool FC, counting 14 coaching staff for the first team including nutrition coaches, goalkeeping coaches and coaches that only work with players returning from injury among others.

I don't know if there any official rules on the number of coaches, but I'm not sure why there would be. If a football club wants to spend the money, why not? I'd imagine that, in practice, the team owner(s) would limit the manager's total budget for support staff, but I don't see why the league would care.

I don't think there is a limit to the number of coaches on a team, but there may be a limit to how many can be present at a game, I don't know. The rules changed after the show aired, in that now only one coach can be standing in the box on the sidelines during the game, the other coaches have to sit or stand back with the players -- at least that's how it is in the Premier League, I don't know if it's the same in the lower leagues.

The Season 2 Christmas episode was added when Apple order 2 additional episodes for the season than they had originally ordered. Not sure about which the 2nd one was.

‘You had me at coach’ A nod to Jerry McGuire movie

This episode is wonderful. Plus it’s a sign that Nate is going down a rabbit hole . The restaurant is a metaphor that he can’t get what he wants. The spitting is grim.

I hope Higgins has “She’s a Rainbow” in real life on his phone.

Eeee I love jonas here !! also the indignation about Isak fancying jonas as if that’s impossible when he literally did in series one makes me howl 😂 - and another bit of added context in the texts we got to see for you! - after this episode Isak texts even like “thanks for the drawing, when did you put it in my bag?” - the text is referenced in the next ep I think !!

This was so beautifully done. No drama, no judgement, just a friend being there. And the relief for Isak, not carrying this secret anymore, having someone to tell his feelings to, was immediate. Suddenly we see him smiling again.

I love Ted Lasso so much! I'm a therapist (though sadly not at Dr. Sharon's level), and this show is just so psychologically healthy that I'd recommend it to practically everyone.

I just watched this July 16th (what an ironic timing) and i was completely destroyed at the end, the movie and book destroyed me, but the series made 100% more rough and sad to watch bc the actors had so much chemistry... and since then I'm watching every reaction, bc i want to rewatch, but if I'm already crying from the reactions i know that I'll be broken again lol. I loved your reaction!

Jonas is really one of my favs he looks like he doesn't care but he really cares about Isak so much!

I love the fact that Jonas seems to know Isak wants to tell him something and kind of gives him space and waits for him to open up and not try to force anything out of him. That scene is so beautiful.

To be fair on Mahdi and Magnus it was stated in the first episode that they are very newly acquainted with Isak so I don’t think they know anything about what’s going on with Isak’s family things and it’s also maybe they’re not picking up the signs as well as Jonas

I really enjoy watching your Skam reactions, it reminds me when I was waching it for the 1st time, I was just like you 😂 As for Even playing with Isak's feeling - there was actually a reason why he suddenly switched gears like that. His behavior becomes understandable once you finish the whole season, and then rewatch episode 5 - then it will click.

Yeah, it was funny when the show was new. Everybody's already told you about the two 'extra' episodes (Apple was seriously surprised that the show was so successful and wanted more). What they didn't tell you - the Christmas episode aired in the summer! We loved it, but were scratching our heads about the timing. 😆

If you’re curious why we didn’t see some characters, such as Jamie, Colin & Isaac, it’s because they’re all from Britain. If your family is from Great Britain it’s very easy to just drive or fly home for Christmas. It’s like New York to Philly or Boston. They just went to see their families. Everyone else didn’t have family in England

This episode is my new “go to” to get me in the Christmas spirit at holiday time.

I love this episode. A special extra episode ( one later in the season). I tend to watch this every Christmas. Makes me happy.

They filmed a ten episode season and Apple asked for twelve at the last minute so they made this episode and another that comes up later. So this episode and THAT one are indeed filler.

Yeah. Its a little weird because this episode and one other one later were added after the season had already been written. But I think they still do a good job of telling a fun story! The Christmas episode is actually so good, always fun hearing Rebecca/Hannah sing
