It's QianHai (前海), which is just north of Beihai Park (it's maybe only a 5 or so minute walk from Beihai's north gate). Very beautiful!

Our kids enjoyed this resort, but the adults didn't. There was always a long wait at all the resort's restaurants and overall the resort was run down. We wouldn't stay there again, but our kids have good memories of Oasis Palm.

Thanks for watching! Yes, we traveled back to Beijing in a Didi (taxi) as well. We were worried that it would be difficult to get a car back to Beijing, but it wasn't. I was told that many ride share/taxi drivers take guests from Beijing to the Great Wall or Gubei in the morning then wait around to see if anyone needs a ride back to the city. But I imagine there will be fewer and fewer drivers available as the day goes on; we left in the afternoon. There are probably also fewer drivers available on weekdays.

We liked the beach! It's small but great for stand up paddle boarding and kayaking, which the resort offers for free. We also appreciated that the beach was quiet but this of course means that there are no amenities, like the ones offered standard at the public beaches, such as restaurants, snacks, massages, etc. We did 5 nights here then 3 nights at Nai Yang Beach, which is public. It was a good balance between the two. If we were to do it again, we'd probably split the nights 50-50.

Yes, absolutely! Back in November, Glo had a vitamin IV drip in Seoul as an add-on to a skin treatment. Over the course of our 3-night trip, everyone but Glo got sick from the cold and we're convinced it was bc the vitamin IV drip gave her immune system a boost. We both felt boosted after the vitamin IV drip in Phuket, too!

Gosh, it's been so long that our memory is a little foggy...It's just under three miles one-way to Little Beehive via Lake Agnes. If you hike through without stopping, the average hiker could probably make it in about two hours, or even less. But we were slow since we were carrying kids; we also stopped at Lake Agnes for a while and took lots of photo breaks along the trail...it probably took us over three hours one way. But it's quick on the way down!

The entirety of the Jinshanling section that we walked on was safe, although we'll note that one part was steep and had really high steps, which was challenging for our daughter; we also noticed older Chinese tourists struggling on those steps because they were so high. We've been to Mutianyu as well. It was equally beautiful; it's more accessible than Jinshanling and for that reason is slightly more crowded but not nearly as crowded as Badaling, for example. Hope you have a wonderful, safe trip to the Great Wall!!

We took a Didi (China's version of Uber/Lyft) from our guesthouse near Gubei Watertown. There's also a public bus from Beijing to Jinshanling Great Wall once in the morning then a return bus once in the late afternoon. But it doesn't run every day. We weren't able to get a Didi back to our guesthouse from Jinshanling because the location is on the remote side. Fortunately, the woman cleaning the trash cans in the parking lot helped us out. She said this is a common issue. She called a driver for us, although the pricing was inflated.

@@TimGloAdventures Beijing, China, I love the spicy food there so many choices to select. In Europe especially France, I love the baguette and bakeries there. Turkey, I love the shrimp and seafood there. Italy more......oh BKK I love the curry there LOL.

Yes! Overall, the air quality is MUCH improved over when we lived in China about 8 years ago. We moved back in August last year and the air in October has been the best so far!
