Your video get me hyped my dude everyone needs to watch at least a couple times just to figure out what we just saw. Your riding style makes insane tricks look done with the minimal amount of effort needed very dialed in I'm hyped and ready to head to the water

what about ur tail foot, why you didn't put it in footstrap?
Sometimes if I’m not fully powered up I find it’s more comfortable and easier to go upwind with my back foot out the strap. This way I can also place it more on the rail to help me get upwind

Yes this is Vasiliki 🙌 Usually September is very 50/50 with the wind. You can get some solid days but this year has been particularly windy, so you never know. Hope you have good wind.

Thanks for the tips. I've landed five shakas in six years (our freestyle season is only three months long). This year none, but many very close. It's actually my best shaka year, I just have to finish it. We have about the worst shaka conditions imaginable so it's difficult. I hadn't thought about the sail momentum helping rotation, I'll experiment with that. Otherwise I've come to the same conclusions as you have. Sail first! I just realised that the trictionary had the perfect sequence described all along. This is pretty much exactly what Amado does. He only starts carving once the sail has already gone back and is almost sheeted in. I've been trying to emulate that, so far it's working, i now slide backwards 180 on some of my better attempts, whereas before i would not have much speed on landing.

Any big board is great! In fact, sometimes I take the centre board completely out because the handle get's in the way.
What makes it "semi"?
It's only a half rotation, the full switch kono is where you complete a 360

Hi Will, great stuff. I learned already so much from your videos ( like Heli tack, Ducktack😊). So: do you have a pedagogical vidéo about this trick? I'm just afraid I do not have the right gear for, what equipement are you using/suggesting? and finally, are you teaching in Vasiliki?
Hey, thanks! Yeah I have a few videos on the Flaka. Here is one of them czcams.com/video/qv_He1xPGjo/video.htmlsi=foHKAQv8XgZsh_Pp. The Flaka will always be easiest to learn on freestyle gear but it's still possible on wave or freestyle wave gear (you'll just need a relatively small fin) but If you want to get into freestyle I highly recommend getting a freestyle board. Even it's an older one it's really worth it. As for the sail, I use freestyle sails and love them but you don't necessarily need a dedicated freestyle sail to start with. I was teaching at the Surf School in Vasiliki this summer but I'm not there now.

@@willnicholls5 Nobody has 100% control! You can get a heart attack or the boom breaks or suddenly a very gusty/strong wind push your rigg and so on ... ... every time 1 length of the mast distance to other persons!!!
