Sometimes Derek's technical prowess is a little overwhelming but he's complimenting Eric Clapton so well! The kids are alright!

It took a little time but I am coming around to Derek trucks! I'm sure Butch would be happy!

Derek Trucks is phenomenal in every sense. He just seems to find a home within the song and you find yourself at times only hearing his guitar. He seems to find every sweet spot on that guitar.

I saw the tedeschi trucks band live @ hard rock live in Orlando Florida January 28-2023 and I was blown away

Derek is more than a carbon copy of Duane. I remember speaking to his dad Chris, who was selling his son's CDs, after concert at Masonic in 2008. I asked him how Derek compared to Duane and he quoted Gregg who believed that Derek has taken slide guitar a step forward. Of course, we'll never now how how Duane would have developed and what he might have achieved, but Derek has the advantage of following the path blazed by Duane. Personally, I find Derek's playing repetitive and over reliant on set phrases and riffs. His tone seldom varies, too.
