zhlédnutí 20KPřed rokem
Today was spent building bikes, visiting arguably the best bike shop in Tokyo, and briefly leaving central Tokyo to track down an essential piece of equptment for our journey. For those interested, the camp stove in question is a Soto Amicus. We could have purchased it in New Zealand but found it was about $10 cheaper in Japan. We also researched travelling with gas stoves can be risky and ther...

Welcome to the channel! In our first video, Gwen and I test out a loaded ride in the back roads of Whitecliffs, and camp in the domain. We hope you enjoy watching this adventure!
Teşekkürler selamlar efendim 🌹
There’s lots of decay and run down buildings in Japan. I heard that in the boom times of the 60s,70s. 80s Japan built so much ,that they really built more than they needed. Good to see even older buildings have been renovated.
Teşekkürler efendim
Stopped by that place last week, road trip but Fuji wasn’t playing fair 😂 but got to see the Shinkansen.
That's a shame! I hope you got to see it at some point.
@@longandshortbikeadventures not too upset, will be traveling around the northern side of Fuji ina few weeks so sure to get some good photos.
well worth the stop for the picture - its a cracker!
What an epic photo of Fuji and bullet train.
Thanks! The diversion was definitely worth it and we were super lucky with the weather.
Reminds me of my first cycling tour in 2010, covered some of those same areas.
Definitely the best way to travel Japan!
Wondered where you had to.
It's been a little while! Thanks for coming back to watch. 🙂
Can you make some tutorial video for building a bike, while you guys trip 😁 very interesting 😂
Sure, maybe once I've finished editing the rest of the trip!
you are used to riding on the same side of the road as the Japanese your ahead of the pack
It makes cycling easier for sure!
Bikes, Japan and NZers? I might have to watch the rest of the videos.
Posting some more stuff now. Sorry for the wait!
A friend brought me back a BL water bottle. I love it. Cheers from Chicago
real adventure👊
Hello! Welcome to Japan! Tama is near my house!I ran down the Sagami River road the other day^_^Thank you for coming!
What's with the masks? Outdoors? Really?
Japan
Totally unnecessary - go on, take them off so you can breath!
Can you share where I can buy a similar bike bag?
Look up Ground Effect Tardis bags. :)
Subbed, hope and wish your channel will grow bigger. I liked the connection you two have as a couple. To our little Kiwis from the land of big kangaroos, from Sydney Oz
Appreciate it, more videos coming soon!
I have taken that trail to that same dead end, but nonetheless, I love the Sagami trail's views!! I hope you can ride all three Japanese National Bike Routes while in Japan, they are all excellent!
Just now surfed in to find Coof-maskers in April 2023. Yeah, like I'll subscribe.
Masks are expected everywhere in Japan, commonplace even before covid. We respect the culture. Thanks for watching!
Loved seeing the VO Polyvalent "in the wild"! (Hint: you should let them know about it.)
Don't worry, we did!
Great adventure guys! Could I ask what wet weather gears you're using. I'm looking for a reliable and lightweight rain gear. Ride safe!
Sorry for the late reply, but we just used basic light waterproof shells. In the end we avoided riding in the rain as much as possible so only used them a few times. We found that scheduling around bad weather was better than trying to ride though it and getting wet anyway!
did the cable turn up!!!!
That is super nice by random stranger! Thumbs up.
Yes! Everyone was very friendly!
what a japanese kindness 👌saw multiple times random japanese give a cyclist food or beverages
Everyone was so nice!
you should make the video longer 😀 really enjoying it 👍 do you have a link about the bike bag?
Thanks! More videos coming soon. :) They are Ground Effect Tardis bags.
glad found your channel ! 👍
Some of my earliest trips , south out of Tokyo took me along the same routes you followed.
Reviewing the folding bikes it is of course difficult to know which one of the bikes that I like best but will mention the roads are harsh at times in viet nam for a number of reasons I’d say 20 inch! Overall the folding bike is a good way to travel !paul
