The SCARIEST CLIMB in the world - Stolen Chimney on Ancient Art | Fisher Towers
The scariest and most spectacular climb in the world. That's how could be described the legendary climbing route Stolen Chimney on Ancient Art in Fisher Towers, Utah, USA. What makes this route so exceptional is the 20 m high corkscrew summit tower which lies more than 100 m above the surrounding desert. Standing on the top is definitely the most intense and unforgottable climbing experience of our lives.

Hello I have never climbed any mountain and now I am planning to climb kebnekaise. Is it possible/safe for a person to hike/climb to kebnekaise? Any tip ? Thank you
Depends on the route. You need to be able to sustain an effort for a long period of time, good stability and, if you take the eastern route (Ostraleden, i think ?), you should expect some low level rock climbing (a via ferrata, not difficult by any means, but fairly exposed, so you need to be ready). You can do it with a guide from the STF. I absolutely recommend it if you're afraid to make mistakes, because mistakes can be *very* dangerous at some steps. Vastraleden is a much longer route but it avoids the rock climbing part. It's less technical and apparently can be done without a guide, although I didn't do it (time constraints) The youtuber "Wilderness stories" published a formidable guide about everything you need to know for both routes : czcams.com/video/LXmIPzm8PkQ/video.htmlsi=ZiTeLDkTPEzo-K4V If you need some more advices or information, I'd be happy to tell you more 😊 I think most people can do it, especially with a guide, as long as you have good shoes, decent endurance, and strong knees on the way down. I had a lot of previous hiking experience with weights, but not in this kind of terrain, so I went with guides.

Great shots! I"ve tried to pass this road last year. Our Fiat Scudo Long van with front wheels drive only, had to surrender on one of the many turns leading up. It was too dangerous, considering 5 yo kid on our board...

About 4 hrs which I did in my mid sixties .I didn't think it was at the time really exposed and rock didn't have much friction about 5.9+ to 5 10-

Thanks! It was done in september. We booked it two months in adcance through agency Top Ararat and we were really satisfied with their services.

chalani ste absolútne úžasný, nebolo to moc hôzostrašné ten prudký svah a trhliny? ...potrebujem poradiť ako ste šli tou Aiquille du Midi, kedže viem že normálne spiatočný lístok sa kúpi a musí sa íst po 2 hodinkách dole, ako to je ked ste tam spali a až ptm na druhý deň výstup a ptm jak dole ste šli? ako ste si kúpili lístok dole? a je tam povolené ešte stále stanovanie? prosím poradte nám, lebo sa rozhodujeme medzi Gouter route a Tromi Mont Blancanmi.. len cez Gouter strašne šikanujú tam tá polícia kontroluje výbavu, a treba pol roka rezervačku na chate robiť:( .... Ďakujem za info.
Ahoj, ďakujeme :) Nebolo to až tak hrozné, sú aj náročnejšie výstupy v Alpách. Pokiaľ viem, tak spiatočný lístok sa dal využiť aj na druhý/tretí deň, tak to robia všetci horolezci, ktorí tak idú. Stanovanie tam už nie je legálne, ale dá sa využiť nocľah na chate Cosmiques hut, ktorá je kúsok od stanice lanovky. O druhej trase Gouter ti neviem povedať detaily, tade sme nešli.

IKR, it is defintiely not that scary...actually, it's not scary at all. It is spectacular, as evidenced by the congo lines. If you aren't waiting in line for hours with every gumby ahead of you it can be done in 2.5 hours car to car...easily
