I am about to do this on my vxr. Do you just yank the driveshaft a few times to get it out or do you need to do anything with the pinch bolt inside the gearbox before or as you pull on it

Tiny drive shaft nut and tiny torque compared to a VXR. Surely that cant be right ?

Told u it was easy mate lol, there is a fill hole at the top of the box so no need to play around with sockets at bottom

Be interesting to see how the driveshaft is as im looking for new ones

Nice quick fix, that’s what we like 😅 Where they aftermarket ones? Don’t think it would ever make sense buying oem ones, they are only boot struts at the end of the day, as long as they open the boot unaided that’s all you need, then save some pennys 💴 😁

If you are going to Trax would be great to check out your build? mines a 310bhp Dreamscience with a bit of a franketstein build - RS downpipe, malian sports cat, mongoose cat back, dreamscience map, etc.

Make sure if you like the gear knob you call out Mtech on your channel, definitely worth the few quid they are going for :) Carry on the build mate, i've got to sell my ST and i'd love to keep it.

When I had my st, I was made to understand that the turbosmart actuators are great but the recircs, were awful. Just hope you don't have any issues with it once fitted

I’ve had mine a month now. Not my first focus st but it’s far better than my previous. Absolutely love it. Just glad it’s not my daily because it doesn’t like to keep fuel in the tank too long. 🤣

Had mine a year july which has flown. It was cheap so its cost me a few quid in bits and ive just had it resprayed due to bad laquer peel (performance blue) but now its back it was all worth it 👌

In Greece you have to pay 900+€ per year for 2.500cc cars. 690 for 2.000cc, an a45 amg for example. Not fair at all...

Youre right about the liner thing, after i bought mine i joined the forums and saw everyone talk about , gave me the fear everytime i drove it then i realised its gone through 13 previous owners and 110k and hasnt cracked yet so doubt it will. They are pretty solid cars if maintained properly.

Had mine about 7 years now! Toyed with the idea of getting something else for a change but just couldn't bring myself to let it go. It just has so much character and does everything i want it to do so why would i? And has been really reliable too! Have suffered some of the common faults recently though but everything needs maintenance. Just bloody love the thing

I have blue interior lights all round ( done myself ) the foot well, boot and glovebox lights just look like a circuit board. Crazy

Total waste of my motherfucking time, all I learned from this was the nut is 36 mm not 34 because you couldn't be arsed to film the removal of the hub.
