SUR stands for Sublime Urge To Rejoice. SUR FESTIVAL has brought finest musicians of 3 generations on stage together at its festivals since 2014. This Festival has been conceived to bring out mostly young promising and exclusive artistes who have given their time and efforts but not getting that much into limelight in particular cities of the country. Many contemporary artistes are financially not well off, so this festival has not been helping them only financially but also to get more opportunities as SUR does good publicity especially for the youths to make them more known and also to attract more young audience. • The festival brings eminent artistes too to attract audience of all generations but the main aim of the festival is to highlight the young talented artistes and in coming future SUR will give its own students the platform through SUR festival. • SUR has given honoured opportunity to almost 21 young artistes to perform at SUR festival.

I am a vocalist of Hindustani Classical and Semi Classical Music. I born and brought up in a musical environment from my childhood. From the age of seven my music nurtured and nourished at the hands of my mother Smt. Sipra Chatterjee.
I started my professional musical training at the age of eight under Sri Prabir Majumder for 11 years. I learned Khayal and Nazrul Geeti from him. I was under the guidance of Pt. Arun Bhaduri (Kirana Gharana) for 2 years. Then I was under the guidance of Sri Alok Chatterjee (Kirana Gharana) and presently I am enriching my learning with the guidance of Sri Debapriya Adhikary (Benaras Gharana). I am learning Khayal, Thumri, Tappa, Dadra from him.
Awards & Performances:
I am a B high graded artiste of All India Radio.
I have a 4 years Diploma digree in vocal Classical (Khayal) from Prachin Kalakendra Chandigarh.
I participated in TARANA music competition in ETV Bangla and was also a participant of Ato Sur Aar Ato Gaan in Doordarshan, Kolkata.
I perform every year in the concert of Nazrul geeti Festival under West Bengal Government.
I also did playback in few Movies and Tele-Soaps.

Passed Secondary Education (Madhyamik) from WBBSE in 2010
Passed Higher Secondary Examination in the year 2012 under WBCHSE Passed B.A from Burdwan University (History Honors) in 2015
