This is my published slam poem "Chicken Wings and Tom Brady"
I got the idea for this poem after a conversation with my little brother. Thus, this poem is dedicated to him.
My dream is to dream as he does.

…Why?
Why?
Why!?
Why!!
Why do I care so much?
I care which spoon I chose for my oatmeal
it has to be a small, but weighty spoon
almost aerodynamic, if you will
I care about how many sips of water I take
It has to be in increments of three
Or else I’ll feel uneven
Or else I'll feel unlucky
Or else I’ll feel like something bad might happen
I care about grocery stores charging five cents per bag
And I care about the random dogs that I pass on the street
A year ago, I saw a pigeon with only one foot
And I still think about them
I care if I lose weight and I care if I gain weight
I care if he walks me home
And I care if he doesn’t
I care about my friends…often more than I care about myself
I care about fire safety!
I care if my tofu is crispy!
I care about my plants one brown leaf
because I feel guilty it turned brown in the first place
I told my brother I have more nightmares than dreams
I told him he should tell me I’m a good sister
cuz in a lot of those nightmares
I’m sacrificing myself to save him from whatever person had been hunting us down
He told me he dreams of chicken wings and Tom Brady
I wish I could swap brains with him for a day
Cuz I wanna be chill.
I wanna be the cool girl.
What am I doing after class?
Oh, I don't know
It’s not like my whole day is written down in some eight dollar planner somewhere
You wanna try a new restaurant (after class)
I am so chill, I won’t even google the menu beforehand.
Caring for me is a full body feeling
Where I feel like my stomach is buckling beneath the weight of my heart
And my hands have decided to create a new ocean with my sweat
It takes me hours to fall asleep
But it takes me just seconds to fall
Because I need it all to be in control
I need everyone
to be okay
I need everyone
to dream.

Im going to Berklee this summer for a summer program and I've been having major impostor syndrome since I was accepted, this video really helped me realize I'm not alone.
you're very much not alone in feeling that way...a lot of people...most..feel that way when they first come here <3
I want to take admission please Tell me the process of online audition
What happens once you graduate from berklee? And if you can’t read sheet music but can learn by ear and have a good memory are you able to make it through berklee?
For me, after Berklee I'm looking to move to Nashville and start a career as a singer/songwriter. And you don't need to know how to in order to get in, but once you're here you'll learn how to read sheet music.
This is the most tolerable I've seen of slam poetry, which is damning with faint praise as slam poetry is the death of art. You would make a good performance artist though
