aeration not needed when you have 5 waterfalls
oxygen increase algae growth not hinders it. Algae is good tho.

The holes in the basket are too large, We have the seeds from Maple and they pass the basket. There are baskets with other hole sizes?

how did you hide the write and was there a filtration?
Very nice looking pond. Well done! How do you secure the liner along the top? Do you just use locktite glue and glue down the top brick to hold it in place? Also, where did you get the spillway? Thanks again for sharing.
How comes no protective layer between liner and soil?
32F min water temperature? Pond is currently at 73f. I think the shock would kill the fish.

If your fish are that small, you shouldn't use the skimmer.

What about all the floating food in the pond?
It will end up in the skimmer. Just feed as much as your fish eat.
My skimmer well take the food before the koi do 🤷🏻♂️
