You will need stout boots it a bit muddy in places and its a challenging walk but well worth it.

    Yes! I remember it well, when the Mod's and the Rocker's used to clash on Clacton sea front, quite frightening really. I was born there, of mixed parent's, and I now live in Mauritius, the birthplace of my deceased dad, who was of Mauritian origine.

    The comments on the Canal are right. At the Wey nav., end there were house boats lined up along the bank and what with the stinking green slime dead animals floating about how could anyone live there. My son worked on the Canal living as we did in Ash Vale for 20 years. and boy did he stink when coming home at the end of the day. How ever I understand an SSI which restricts use and I notice most of the shots are at the Wey nav., end that gives an idea that it is being used as other canals are up to say Graywell. Some how I don't think so. From there I switched to taking an interest in the Wey Arun Canal well, worth a visit

      @MrBell04 Před 4 lety

      Thanks Sylvia for your nice comments, we went up again this year for 3 days but no dolphins, looks like things have changed up there think it may have something to do with the wind farm they are building, i think it has disturbed them as they are very sensitive to noise its a shame because it was quite a sight to see wild dolphins so close, good luck if you go up you never know you may be as luck as I was. xx

      @MrBell04 Před 5 lety

      Hi Guy, I'm up again in August I have a Canon 5D with a sigma 120mm-400mm Lens they come in very close a shorter lens would do the job I used the short end most of the time and as there is no time to compose the picture they are gone in a flash I cropped them when I edited the shots, Hopes this helps it a great sight to see that why I am going again and I live in Essex a long old trip.
