    • @RealGreenPowerEnergy
      @RealGreenPowerEnergy Před 16 dny

      Yes, to fully integrate both inverters into a solar + storage battery system, you would need two Powerwall 3 units! Hope this helps.

    Hopefully this thing will become the de-facto industry standard and henceforth the other guys will offer clones with basically the same spec. When these other guys do that, hopefully prices will drop, like we so badly need.

      The Tesla Powerwall 3 is capable of AC Coupled integration, so even if you already have an inverter for your solar system, you will still be able to add a Powerwall 3 to create a battery + solar backup system!

    I have a Powerwall 2 but would never buy another Tesla product. When Musk moved to Texas he dropped the facade and revealed he’s just another as--- plutocrat. And since he suddenly fired the supercharging staff for his flagship vehicles with no notice, I don’t see him as anymore reliable as a battery vendor. He’d have no qualms about bricking the Powerwalls on a whim.

    I'm in Australia, have solar, a Tesla powerwall 2, and technically, I'm still a ways behind financially, BUT... I'm the only one in my street with power when there is a blackout. I'm the only one not paying peak power rates between 3pm and 11pm, and, I can export power during those peak hours, maximising my ROI. And, best of all, I don't have to draw power from the grid during those hours, thereby reducing pollution. I still do use TINY amounts of grid power on the odd occasion though, because I live in a small house with a small roof. So, is the Powerwall worth it? You betcha.

    With NETTING TARIFF, does my extra solar produced electricity (kWh) get stored at Eversource at the same rate, for example, my extra electricity get purchased by Eversource for $0.22 and then if I need it, I buy it back for $0.22? Also, do I get $0.0318 for every kWh I send to the grid as extra PURA incentive?

    • @nitishpatidar4811
      @nitishpatidar4811 Před rokem

      Did you find the answer for this? I have been told that that Eversource pays much less when you use than you send back. For example, when you purchase from eversource it will be $0.22, but when you send back you will receive credits only for $0.15. Is it true?

    • @karlgradzki9952

    Did I make a mistake with not ordering the Tesla Powerwall to take advantage of all the incentives if I use 22,000 kWh per year and solar panels only producing 12,000 kWh per year?

  • @karlgradzki9952
    @karlgradzki9952 Před rokem

    I had Tesla install a 14.4 kW solar panel system on my house, with no Tesla powerwall, currently waiting for inspection and PTO. I use geothermal heat pump (2 wells in ground) for heating and cooling. I have a heat pump water heater and heat pump pool heater. In total, I use 22,000 kWh per year without any fossil fuel, where my solar panel system is estimated to produce about 12,000 kWh, a bit over half of what I need for the entire year. There will be months during spring and fall (roughly 4 months) where I don't use heating or cooling, so I will be producing more electricity that I will be sending to the Eversource grid. My questions is, when it came to NET METERING, I ended up choosing NETTING TARIFF. I thought that the BUY ALL TARIFF price of $0.2943/kWh is fixed for 20 years and if the electricity price goes up above that rate, I will be selling my solar panel electricity at a lower rate then I am buying it from Eversource. Just want to make sure I made the right decision. Please let me know what your thoughts are. Thanks

    Would you recommend the 2021 NEM over the 2022 NEM for a 1 family home who’s looking into getting a backup battery? I’m all about the 1 for 1, but if I can get more $ in the summer, and spend less $ in the winter.. I might be able to do some cash out. But there’s like no guarantee that that’s even the case, especially with how rates are rapidly changing here in CT

      Hi Rob, on this system, the central inverter you see is part of a SolarEdge power optimizer system. We offer both products. SolarEdge is a touch more efficient than Enphase micro-inverters but micro-inverters do have the advantage of being completely independent from a main point of failure.

      @RealGreenPowerEnergy Před 2 lety

      Hi Rob, this is Andrew Contrino writing you from Green Power Energy. I too have a steep roof and am in the process of installing Green Power Energy. It is not an operational issue. As for your solar production question, it depends on what direction the roof is facing, but generally, no, it is not going to be an issue. The ideal pitch in New Jersey for example is facing 180 degrees south at a 38 degree pitch. You should be fine with production, and your roof pitch and direction are all factored into your estimate with our company. Give us your info at solar@greenpowerenergy.com, we'll take a look!
