@kurts64 Thanks Mr. Kurt!
Awesome...happy birds today!
Thank you Mr. Brett, yes they are...
hello I want to buy a ms 362 c saw, do you think it's better to add to the ms400 model? I care most about a durable construction, a purchase for the next 15 years🙂 best regards
@matthew90DG Hi Matthew. The 362 and 400 are very similar. I own an early carburetor version of the 362 that is still running. My brother-in-law owns an auto-tune 362 that has + - 300 hours on it. The 362 is a durable saw as far as long-running goes. Thank you for watching and commenting....
I enjoyed that flashback!
@brettbrown9814 a few moments are enjoyable Mr. Brett...

@brettbrown9814 good morning Mr Brett, thank you sir...humor and laughter is in the air on this one...

Try do something with your life instead of chopping logs
So that is what good correct nothing looks like if we were doing it right. Thanks for showing this angle for this perspective. Be blessed. My friend.
@user-xv9bi3ne9m just the way I do Mr. Joe, sometimes effective, sometimes not so effective...thank you sir...
I know this is not relaxing for you, but listening to your rhythmic swing with that axe is relaxing. Be blessed. My friend.
@user-xv9bi3ne9m I enjoy it Mr. Joe, I have had to "build up" to the TUATAHI however...
I don't know how that far into notching you stay so smooth. Be blessed. My friend.
@user-xv9bi3ne9m thank you Mr. Joe...
Looking strong! 💪
@brettbrown9814 getting better sir, thank you...

Bad idea to swing towards your own legs in case you miss
That's some good choppin ! 🪓🪓
@kurts64 Thank you, Mr. Kurt, it has been a minute, much cooler then, it is hot over here right now...
@connorcolumbia5398 safety is paramount. Continuing with the "bad idea" thought, Beginning with AXEMANSHIP 96 coming forward I address this. Regardless of accuracy or misses, if you can't control the axe, do not swing it. In the case of a deflection headed toward your legs or feet you have to control the axe. If you can't, do not swing it. If you use an axe wear steel shanks, steel toes, and chainmail. Deceiving camera angles are also discussed in the AXEMANSHIP series. Axe control, true arc of the swing, and braking are also discussed and demonstrated. Ultimately, it is the responsibility of the user who determines the safe use of the axe...
@@Brian2bears you’re an idiot. Safety precautions are for things that are unexpected or out of control suddenly. “Control your axe bro 🤡”

Good stuff Mr B, how are you and the tui getting along so far? Itd be pretty ideal for that gnarlier wood im guessing

Are you making firewood? I use wedges to.split logs lengthwise. Then you can hack the.splits at the proper length. If that's what you're trying to.do If you're trying to.make corkwood like this, you'll freeze or die. Maybe both. That's alot of wasted wood.

@@Brian2bears bro, that's so much extra work. One thing is true, the greatest measurable increase of testosterone in blood serum has come after a man chops wood. I wish I had a copy of the study. I like splitting wood.

@MatthewAmsbaugh excellent. Just hit the dirt for the first time today in the long form vid today. No damage...tough tool so far. Good to hear from you sir...

@brettbrown9814 I can "sprint" for a bit with it now, after about fourty swings, I have a serious pump going...thank you sir..
@@Brian2bears tuis are made well. Good steel and heat treat. Also easy enough to cut with a file, which is important for me. Nothing worse than an axe you can’t file.
@@MatthewAmsbaugh yes sir...
What a great offering by Whiskey River! Much better design than the round gauges IMO.
A little advertisement for all, as well as awareness of the Etsy situations....
Nice chopping! Funny story...I had a coffee today at the Christchurch Arts Centre which is a historic group of building built in the 1880's. Today it houses a variety of shops and is a popular tourist destination. I walked into one shop which offered many hand made items including chocolates, knitwear, preserves, knives, crockery, slippers, skillets, books and such. Can you imagine my surprise to also notice a Tuatahi Work Axe and Camp Axe hanging on the wall. This is the first time I have seen them offered by a retailer.
It is a beautiful story Mr. Brett...the only thing I ever see close to that is an occasional Ochsenkoph racer that is of too thin a profile for my nasty woods. That store sounds wonderful. Such places are becoming rare in my part of the world. Thank you for sharing sir. For those that would read this, Mr. Brett is in New Zealand....
I ❤ watching you swing an axe! Incredible job, @Brian2bears 🙏🏿🇺🇸🪓

This is a reload, my good axe buddies, Kurt S and Brett Brown commented previously...thank-you gentlemen... Axemen appreciate the knowledgeable intellectual comments...
Thats a Lot of work . What my take away from doing a couple low stump challenges that I did not record or count , was . A LONG handle excells for that task . At least for me dealing with swinging from a squat or kneeling position. Let the handle length develop the head speed . Great job on doing it with short handles 👍
@@gumboot65 Certainly is not easy. If there ever is a root-ball challenge, I will respectfully bow out...
How does it compare to your Castner Timber Pilot ?
1 pound seven ounces heavier, 22.5 degrees vs 27.5 on the TIMBERPILOT. TIMBERPILOT is a shade more accurate at this point, at least in my hands...they are similar...
. 27.5° bevel. That's Really steep. Have you thought about reducing the angle to gain energy used efficiency ?
@gumboot65 yes sir, we first wanted to demonstrate what could be done with the axe in this configuration, there is a chopping model 22.5 or sub being produced also.
Hey, is the process the same for older models? I have 044 Thanks

Hi Jess, all is well, just a basic session...thank you for watching...
The heavy racers are prone to deflect and scoop easier because they can really put the torque on your wrists. Try no glove on your bottom hand once and see if you notice a difference
@lifebehindtheaxe3835 sage observations sir. I am trying a heavy starch/chalk as well. I practice a loose grip relatively on impact. I see this with my jersey at three and one quarter pounds...glad you watched...
