It is really a big challenge for parents who want to help our children be empowered and to have a high self-esteem. Not easy at all to handle a child that discovers that he or she can actually say and do and think and everything they want. My son is 5 and he started telling me "oh no, you just don't know anything mom, I do" whenever I tried to correct him for whatever reason, for example, he refuses to learn to speak English (even if he was born in the U.S. and lived there his first 2 years), he just don't want to learn English and when he says a word in English that sounds wrong I correct him but he just argues that I am wrong and the way he says it is the right way to say it. I want to learn how to get to that part where we can find the balance that you mention. I am already in class 17 of the How to avoid raising a brat who is unlikeable and won't listen, I am starting to apply your techniques and after that one, I already have the other program of How to get your children to cooperate, even if they don't want to. I am soooo happy I found you and your amazing work! Thanks Robin!!! :D
