Rectangular drums with sliding lid
The video shows the opening and closing mechanism of these rectangular drums with clever sliding lid from CurTec.
This is a patented new closure mechanism that consists of an inner lid with a rubber gasket which seals off the drum, creating a barrier against moisture vapour; an outer lid with a lever which presses down the inner lid, keeping it in position.
This new sliding lid saves handling time (only taking 3 seconds to close or open) and needs no tools or significant force. The wide opening offers maximum flexibility during filling and emptying and allows filled liners or other valuable contents to be easily and safely removed.
The rectangular shape itself maximises pallet density and its total opening top makes the container easy to fill and empty.
The new rectangular drum is UN certified for shipping dangerous goods from packaging groups I, II and III (Y) and is food safe.
