    Hello. I configured my credit card in AliPay. I was able to perform a couple of small payment, but then it started to ask me for a verification code sent by SMS to my foreign phone number. Since I didn't have access to my foreign phone number, I wasn't able to keep using AliPay. Do you know what could be the reason and how to fix it?

    3% over 200RMB. Is that for all users or just foreigners with credit cards linked to the WeChat account? How about if we link a debit bank card? I guess my question is there a way to not pay the 3% fee over 200RMB?

    • @gibbontravelogue
      @gibbontravelogue Před 10 dny

      The 3% charge is for foreigners who linked their credit or debit card, likely for WeChat to cover the cost of the fees charged by their visa/mastercard acquirers. For locals, they will linked their bank accounts to WeChat.

      Hey, not sure if they are any apps in India that uses the Alipay payments rails and absorbs the 3% fees. If there aren’t any, one way to avoid it is to break the transaction into smaller transactions if it is possible. For example, if the payment is for 300rmb, you can ask to pay it two times for 200rmb and 100rmb.

    Thank you so so much for this video. I will travel very soon to China and now I am feeling a little bit more confident than before. I did the steps you explained in your video, so I think everything should work when I will enter mainland China :)

    This is a great video. Everything I was seeing made it seem as though Furong Town and Zhangjiajie were so far apart but the journey you took makes it seem so doable for an afternoon/night!

      Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, very doable indeed. A day trip will be sufficient. However, the night scene in Furong is quite amazing so stay late and take the last train, or spend the night at Furong.

    Awesome detailed guide on how to get to ZJJ. Will be using your guide for reference when I get there for sure. But a few questions: 1) I don't know if I missed it, but how much did the train ticket cost from Guangzhou to ZJJ ? 2) The entire trip was just 1 day ? Was it enough ? Or you wished you'd stay longer ? 3) Are there any accommodations once you get there ? Or you went back to the city after that ? There were a few more in my head while watching the video, but forgot..lol. Oh well...

      Thanks and glad that you enjoyed the video and found it useful. There are three classes of train seats, 2nd class, 1st class and business class, costing from S$95 onwards. Check out this video for more info czcams.com/video/MKxNpwAf63Y/video.htmlsi=OvGCuow5o4KrTDR3 Furong Town is not very big so a day trip should be sufficient but the night scene there is amazing so it could be worth staying a night if your timing permits. There are lodging available in the larger town. For us, we took a day trip. Let me know if you need more info. Will be happy to answer.

      We went there in March when the weather was nice and cool but with the occasional rain. It was considered low season, so not super crowded.

      @@happy2gether1000 Hey! Glad u find it useful. Unfortunately, in China, your local or even international driving license is not accepted in China so you can rent a car but you can’t drive. You will need to rent a driver as well.
