You are a very good stitcher. Lately I have found myself getting overwhelmed as well with stitching. Don’t be sorry for taking a break on your full coverages. My oldest WIP, and full-coverage, was started in 2018! Almost half way through. I also gave up on it until I found the Royal Rows method of parking - which I would never have ever done! You are young and have loads of time to stitch. I turn 70 in a week, so, I am limited but…it is what it is! Just keep stitching, anything you like. No judgement here!

You're a mother with children so do not feel the need to apologize! You're doing great and if you can insert a few hundred or fewer stitches that is still progress to celebrate no matter the amount. I actually enjoyed the fast pacing of this video (of course I'll take whatever WIP parade that is presented). Happy stitching!

I think your idea of using your native language for the animals on the Frosted Pumpkin SAL is a terrific one! I have been taking Anishnabemowin language classes since 2020. My husband and son belong to the tribe. I am going to try to do the same with their language for my Frosted Pumpkin SAL. It will be a challenge since their words can have quite a lot of letters in them! Thank you for the inspiration! Have a stressfree summer and enjoy your family!

Hi Rachel! Many things to say: Love your videos and enjoy stitching with you and catching up! I may be the odd one, but I love the sound of kids in the background. Mine are about to be grown, 16 and 17, and I remember those days. Don't apologize, I think it's lovely to hear : ) Also, I agree with your thoughts on the HAED sal. It is a lot of pressure for a hobby. Now if it was a gift, okay, but for charts that you may not want to stitch it's a lot. Good for you in calling an audible on that sal! You've had a lot of progress and that's been fun to see. Looking forward to watching your WIP parade this evening! One more thing...we have homeschooled our boys the entire time and I wouldn't trade it for the world. It has definitely stretched and grown me as well as them. However, there is a lot of pressure on both sides, traditional school and homeschool, but also, so many resources available! You can do it, either way! : ) 👍❤

You showed us so many beautiful projects. Your chatelaine is amazing. Even though your stitching is wonderful, my favorite part of your video is the sound of your children being themselves. One of the best parts of this hobby/craft is how our projects will wait for us until we are ready to stitch them. I use ziploc bags to store my projects even though I can and have sewn many project bags. I just find it easier to see my projects when they are stored in ziploc bags because this monkey only works on what she can see. 😊 yes, I am trying to reduce my plastic consumption but I bought these bags years ago during a Costco special so not using them is probably worse than using them. Sorry for my stream of consciousness writing.

Hope your move and settling in has gone well! The adjustment phase does take time, I need to stamp my personality all over the place. My parents just moved last year (3rd move in a decade) and it doesn’t yet feel like their place except for the garden outside which was clearly my mom’s priority

Never apologize for putting your family 1st and I love hearing your littles playing in the background. There are other FlossTube stitchers that have/are homeschooling their children, maybe reach out to them to help alleviate some of the stress you are feeling. Your stitching is beautiful! Stitch what makes you happy, the others will be patiently waiting for you when you're ready to pick them up. 🏩

Great to see all of your lovely WIPs! I admire how much you have stitched into everything you've started. Sure there were a couple "barely started" pieces, but most of what you've started has significant progress. Thanks for sharing!

Family has to be the priority. I stopped cross stitching while my kids were little, so don't ever feel bad about making them your priority! If you are serious about abandoning your Long Dog, I would be happy to adopt it...

I think its great that you are prioritizing your life's events over your WIPs. Cross-stitching is supposed to be a fun, relaxing hobby and should not make you feel additional stress. Enjoy your time with your family and stich when you want and when you can without needing to explain to anyone. Take care and stay well.

I keep all my projects in Amazon Project Bags because I am retired and I can not afford a regular project bag and I also do not know how to sew. I use to keep all my projects in Zip Lock Bags and I recently upgraded to the Amazon Bags and I love them. I love all your projects. Your Full Coverage projects are beautiful but I can see why you are putting them away for awhile. All that fabric would stress me out in a heart beat. I really love Princess Asleep. Your Owl projects behind you is so beautiful. Life happens and stitching should be fun and not stressful and I agree that your family comes first. Happy Stitching.

Yes, give yourself a break. No need to feel guilty and stress over the stitching. Enjoy the time you spend stitching, put those full-coverage pieces in time-out for a while (however long that might be), and enjoy some smaller projects. :-) Congratulations on your 1 year Flosstube Anniversary!!

Happy 1 year anniversary. I am doing Merry Mushroom 3 and I agree with you. I am working on it but I am still on the first part. I am not sure about it. I want to do the 4 pages but I am not sure if I would stitch any of the charts.

How about tucking the full coverage away and do some smalls that can be fun. The full coverage aren't going to go away, just taking a break.

Follow your heart. You will miss out the free ones but in time you may realize you have plenty to stitch. Once in awhile you may pick it up, but stress is not what you want to do - stressful is not what this is about.

I just found your flosstube and started watching here, from the beginning-I love hearing the kids playing in the background😊 All of your projects are wonderful, and something about the Settling In project makes me especially happy and want to do it too!!! Love them all, and can’t wait to see more!

Thanks for sharing your projects. I knit my socks 2 at a time using 2 different 9" circular needles. I knit the cuff on the first one and then knit the cuff on the second sock, knit the leg on the first and then the second, etc. I do the same for sleeves. It makes it so easy for me!

Thanks for sharing your stitching and your delight with your new scissors. Have fun stitching and using them. Also personally, I like the wonkiness of socks knit with self striping yard that do not match exactly. I enjoy seeing that although they have the same color way, they express unique “personalities” by presenting it differently.

Congratulations on finishing your sweater--and the one sock! :-) They are both great first knitting projects! Keep it up--you are doing a beautiful job! Your 100 Owls is quite an accomplishment! I have the design but haven't started it yet. Definitely in my plans. I'm also working on the Deco Spirits charts--started last year, I think it was before the retreat. I have about 5 Mira's in progress, did start one this month--Queen of Peace that I was gifted at the retreat.
