stick arms
This is how I make the little stick arms for my needle felted snowmen. All you need is copper wire, size 18, and a bit of brown florist tape.

LeClerc 16 harness table loom

This is my first project on my new loom - getting used to how it works, the levers, warping, etc. Very nice loom, I like it much better than the table loom I had before, that I sold.
Drawing a droplet with Colored pencil

This is a pretty basic technique to add droplets of water to parts of your colored pencil artwork. There are many different ways to do this, but this is the way I do it most of the time.

    9 months later, how do you like this loom? I also had the Ashford and didn't like it for the same reason as yours, getting up to release the brake, the plastic pawls and ratchets, etc. I have an 8 shaft Dorothy and stand. the Voyager fits this stand. Looking for 16 shafts, I have considered the Louet 16 shaft Jane but Leclerc looms including table looms can weave anything. the Louet and Ashfrod I found to be very light table looms when compared to Leclerc.

      @paulettemorrissey9428 Před 8 měsíci

      I like to start with a couple rows of a heavy thread, like Peaches & Cream or a crochet cotton. Then I do a hem of about 1/2 inch of the same thread I weave with (usually nymo beading thread).

      I didn't like the Ashford 16 harness table loom. I don't like that you have to get up and walk to the back side of the loom every time you need to advance the warp, I don't like the plastic gears that need to be replaced if you do much weaving at all, I don't like the swinging beater bar and I don't like Texsolv heddles at all.

    Though I've been beading for awhile I always avoided small beads. Now in my 70's I find delicas and small beads very relaxing and would like to get a larger loom. Do you have any advice or is there anywhere that you show your work? You've really inspired me! Thank you for this video.

    • @paulettemorrissey9428
      @paulettemorrissey9428 Před rokem

      I like the Mirrix looms the best, mostly because I can adjust the tension as needed, and I can warp it so it goes from top to bottom then back to top, and not all the way around the loom. I don't have anywhere that I show my bead art, but I am working on adding it to my website. Just not enough hours in a day. I will try to add more videos more often though. Thank you for watching!

      @@paulettemorrissey9428 Thank you so much for replying. I did buy a Mirrix and found warping it much easier than I thought it would be . I was delighted by how sturdy it is and am working on small projects while learning to tension the loom. Look forward to more videos!

      @paulettemorrissey9428 Před rokem

      I really like how you can warp their looms so the warp is not a continuous loop around the loom, and instead be only a front layer of warp.
