Hi! My favorites for now are the Hoya globulosa because it’s new to me and I cannot get over those fuzzy leaves and my Anthurium red chrystallinum because it is pushing out a new leaf. Great video! Thank you.

My P. White Wizard is my fav of those types too, I finally gave in and gave it a moss pole, though I should have a long time ago. He is stunning!!

My Hoya sunrise has brought me so much joy! It is beautifully sun stressed and growing like a weed! I got it as a 5 leaf starter plant in May of this year and she is already starting to trail!

Recently purchased a small Dragons Breath Alocasia.. It has grown 2 large perfect leaves which forced me to display it i in front of smaller assorted plants just to enjoy! 🍃

I have a hoya Ilagiorum that decided to stay with me by finally pushing out 3 new growth points after dropping 3 leaves when it arrived a month and a half ago. I've also purchased 4 more from Plant Haven Toronto as a 'happy birthday to me' today. LOL Love seeing the Crassy, might have see about that one. ❤

I’m in the Phoenix metro area in the USA. For my region I’ve found an Aeroid and chonky orchid mix works amazingly! In my home things dry up SUPER fast. I can’t even keep my succulents in terracotta because of drying out issues. So like chonky pumice, chonky coco husk pieces, coco coir, chonky orchid bark and some tropical planting soil mixed in is my recipe To root mine usually go right into the soil and they’re in self watering pots with a wick that draws up lower amounts of water than a regular wick so the soil is like a wrung out sponge. It works well for no drainage glass containers, but you just have to be smart about the watering. I can get roots and new growth within 2 weeks on fresh cuttings. I do cheat and use a rooting hormone I got for my succulents which doesn’t work for them but for all my Hoya and zz varieties it works ridiculously well Once rooted I use 1/2 fertilizer mixed with the water I use to regularly water and do a full fertilization once a month. Everyone is super happy and saved my Krimson Queen pots (2 pots, 12ft of vine in total) doing this. Outside of that, prop in a glass container, no drainage with my soil half way, a thick layer of pumice or perlite on top and use 1/3 the volume of the container worth of water inside and plastic wrap the top I air out nightly and I even got my Serpens or Xiaojie root under a month and I’m getting new growth from the vine while in there with a tiny cutting of Hoya Sunrise I’d say feel free to break rules and experiment with your Hoya propagations for your region in the world! I think I’m going to start trying growing in more coco chunk chunks and see how that goes. It makes over watering (with drainage) almost impossible. It can only absorb so much water and won’t hold more than it can and releases the water at a steady rate

Have you tried rooting in water? I noticed in the photos you use moss which I really enjoy for most plants but for Hoya I have great success in water. I start in regular water and as soon as there is even a tiny bit of root I switch to my fertilized water I use for all my semi-hydro. I only mention this because you mentioned that some Hoyas are tough to root and thankfully I haven’t had any issues with water 🤞 (knocks on wood) 😅

Love that I found this video and can’t wait to watch your other videos. I love Hoyas and definitely have been going crazy collecting them. My Globulosa has long leaves so now I wonder if I have the other one you mentioned even though I bought it as a Globulosa 😅

I mainly have Hoya in my collection and have used the MG orchid spray on all of them for a couple years now. It works amazingly! You'll notice a difference pretty quickly with new growth after only a few uses. (I even use it on my Hoya props while they root) Actually, all of my epiphytes love the stuff! If I could buy it by the gallon I would lol😂 definitely worth it!😊

I’m such a Hoyahead. I love the foliage, diversity of the leaf blows my mind. The blooms? I expected to wait years, but most of mine bloom and I’m frequently surprised by a newer acquisition blooming. I just checked my list, I have 39 different varieties of Hoya. They took over #1 genus from philodendron for me

I have been growing plants since a neighbor gave me a sick looking snake plant at the age of 12! Many decades ago. It's only in the last few years that I have become addicted to Hoyas! I agree with you on all aspects. My Mathilde has her first bloom and is loaded with peduncles. ❤❤❤

I’ve had the R. tetrasperma about 3 months now. I live in the Northeast US. Mine is sitting in an East window that gets light all day when the sun is up. I bottom water, which makes it more difficult to overwater. It’s growing like crazy, think at least 2 leaves per week. Maybe yours would like some direct light that’s not harsh? Although it’s in a South window, it’s still very shaded.

I have had a Hoya carnosa for over 40 years and during Covid I got hooked on other types of Hoya. I have always enjoyed plants but not as much as I enjoy Hoya. Thanks for your enthusiasm for yours. I currently have a 45 year old ponytail palm that is taller than me. I bought it in a tiny 2 inch pot.

I absolutely buy Hoya for their foliage and not their blooms. I purchased my first Hoya in 2021 and went down a rabbit hole 🤫 it’s definitely one of my favorite genus.

Hi very new hoya head here 🙋‍♀️ and only have two so far, a australis 'lisa' & a black margin. But i am already wanting more! Am a new plant parent of only a couple of months so now i just need to learn how to take care of hoya 😅. Thanks for the amazing video, i also love harli g & watched her recent hoya video. Firstly I love that they are easy care..for the most part. I love that many of them are vigorous growers. I enjoy that some of them can sunstress.

Greetings Starting my collection over I would re buy peace lilies, philodendron red emerald, philodendron florida green, philodendron lime upright growing, ficus shirviana (grows at a slow but steady pace. Bright light for it's beautiful varigation), consider purchasing two if possible. I have one but I can imagine how outstanding this planter would grow into with it's marbled colored leaves. The leaves grow in dense and compact. I would also choose the orange bird of paradise, and the monstera deliciosa.

I've been having similar problems with my mini monstera, I'm glad I'm not alone. Initially seemed to settle in well, it was getting new leaves easily and I gave it some water a couple of days earlier than I normally would on one occasion because I had a busy schedule few days ahead and then it started dropping leaves. I thought it would settle, but it seemed to go on and on. Really started thinking there might be some root rot issues or perhaps even though there had been no sign of it maybe even a pest issue. With this being on my mind possibly the worse thing I could have done was check the roots, change the soil and repot. Now its still pushing out new leaves, but yet continuing to lose leaves faster it is replacing with new ones. I'm starting to think the issue might even be the summer we are having here. In April the weather was good, June and July has despite the longer days been wetter, darker, and grey skies. Whatever the reason, it's proven to be quite a finickity character.
