Sweetness was recorded during the Clarity sessions originally. That very well could have been Jim tooling around with the chords that would form the basis for the song. It finally found release on Bleed American of course. At the time this was recorded they had only released the original 1994 S/T and of course Static Prevails and some 7 inches. So the whole set is either off Static Prevails, the Blueprint split (Christmas Card), or the Jejune split (What I Would Say to You Now).

@@fivestatedrive the demo of sweetness is so much better than the album version. I remember seeing them in New Brunswick NJ right before clarity came out, they played sweetness, and was so confused/disappointed when it wasn't on the album. Luckily it was available on Napster, but I can't help but imagine how it would've turned out if they rerecorded that demo version at the time. It's not bad, it just lost something along the way. Either way they made some of the most beautiful music ever, and there's nothing out today that even comes close to punk bands of the 80's-90's. I can't list them all because it would take too long, but just thinking of everything from descendents, to dag nasty, to cringer/j church, to jawbreaker, and lesser known bands like sleeper (later changed to serpico)... man, there were just so many original sounding groups. I still love a lot of early Fat wreck chords bands, but that style was copied by too many people, got watered down, and just didn't age as well. Sorry, I can't help being a bitter old man, but I'll stop ranting now.
