TOM MACDONALD AND BEN SHAPIRO-FACTS- REACTION
Hungry Heart was his first top 10 hit, but also one of his least interesting songs. This was a really weak suggestion, probably from someone only casually familiar with Bruce. You mentioned me twice, but didn't react to any of the songs I suggested. I'm done. You may as well go back to Rush.
Two cross necklaces. That's some serious piety.
Never really cared for Bruce Springstein. Rush on the other hand is superb but music is subjective. What speaks to one may not speak to another.
Going from Rush to Springsteen is like going from Mozart to playing chopsticks on the piano
howdy from Texas. I saw my first reaction of yours to Rush a few days ago. Forgot the name of the song however I enjoyed your reaction. And now I see Tom Sawyer was your very first reaction to Rush. I see you have reacted to a good handful of their songs and I need go over your listing again to see if you reacted to 2112.yet. That song was my initiation / introduction to Rush in the Spring of ‘76. Needless to say blew me away! As you do your deep dive into Rush may I suggest 2 from their last album? Headlong flight, talking about a “rocker” of a song! And the last song on their last album Clockwork Angels - “The Garden” I won’t say anything about the song except it’s ultimately about Neil. I’ll let whoever comments to tell you about it if you react to it. Blessings
Never stepped out on someone, but I've been that someone a couple of times (once in a marriage). Truly took years to fully trust again. Your wife was obviously a strong, confident, and wise woman - even at what I assume was a young age. You sound like you've lived up to her expectations though, so that's great. It also sounds like she's been a true blessing to you.
Not sure I'd recommend trying to understand the song by watching this video having never heard it. This video was a love letter to the fans, the band and the song.
home was always better for the colonizers…, so why did they leave!
Good on you. Good on your parents even more.
@Churchboy...time for "The Warning" band reactions! It's time.
Don’t care about instruments js
Bro we know the boss is always going to deliver a quality song much like Steely Dan speaking of which think it’s time you revisited some of their material maybe Home at last or Josie off Aja asking for a friend 🙃
Whoo Hoo! Now I have an excuse to buy more basses!! Thanks, Man!🤘
😚 that Purdie pocket though !
Thank you for sharing that, it was very powerful
Neil’s precision in attack & timing was second to none, he set a new standard which inspired the next generation of drummers. never apologise for picking up your bass man - take those Rush riffs to the church !
czcams.com/video/kXUnl0-bjXo/video.htmlsi=P3TNfRJEgsRg6Tfu Ive got a very special request. My incredible late Mom introduced me to Il Divo many years ago, & opened me up to more music than just my love of classic rock. Il Divo was put together by Simon Cowell, and the group was 4 classically trained men who sang contemporary music. Each was from a different country. Carlos Marin was from Spain, Sebastien Izam ard from France, Urs Buhler from Switzerland, and David Miller from the U.S. Sadly, the phenomenal voice of Carlos was silenced a couple years ago because although vaccinated, he died very quickly from the Delta variant of COVID. It would allow me to hinor both the memory of my amazing late Mom, as well as to honor the memory of Carlos Marin if youd be so kind as to check them out performing "Nights in White Satin" live, which although they're not singing in English, doesn't matter, because virtually EVERYBODY knows the song. Now that its June, a TON of rough "anniversary dates" are about to hit me very hard emotionally, so I was hoping to start the month in a positive way!!!
czcams.com/video/DukKDdBri3Q/video.htmlsi=Uhp5iETFrAEeTrTM Just wondering if you were ever allowed to listen to The Newsboys or any of the othe contemporary Christian groups growing up. I was raised in the church as well (Nazarene), but I was blessed to be exposed to TONS of great music/genres/artists.
Rush, preternatural sonic symbiosis - always awesome live, but as far as reactions go i’d opt for the studio versions in the first instance, just to hear the songs as the band originally intended when putting them out. that’d be my three cents worth on that. great to see your growing appreciation for the guys art, keep up the good work ! Blessings.
great RUSH reactions dude ! some early essentials (IMHO at least) that you’ve yet to cover .... ‘Beneath, Between & Behind’, ‘In The End’, ‘Something For Nothing’, ‘Cygnus X-1’, ‘Circumstances’, ‘Different Strings’, ‘Limelight’, ‘Losing It’, ‘Distant Early Warning’, ‘Kid Gloves’, Between The Wheels’.
If you like drums on this song. Try BORDER LINE. on this Same Billy album Glass Houses..... U will LOVE IT...
You would like the group called Yes. Springsteen is painful
Another artist you'll probably like is Bob Seger. So many great songs. He is in the rock and roll HOF and the songwriters HOF.
This band is new to me, loving your reaction! I'd LOVE to get your analysis of Stevie Ray Vaughan 's "Texas flood" at el mocombo. performance
Bruce writes all his songs (lyrics and music for about 300 songs) According to me, he is the best story-teller in the world (i'm Belgian and french speaking but his songs are universal). A genius poet.
Great reaction! The expression on your face is the same one I had the first time I heard them in the early 70's. It says, "How the hell are they doing that?" Said like a leprechaun "Slappin' da bass, man." Rush has some fantastic songs with Bass solos. I won't list them because many have already done that. But even when Geddy is playing rhythm, he's playing a solo. That's half the fun of listening to them. You could be listening to any of their songs and Geddy is there in the background doing the most amazing things.
Loved your genuine reaction. Thank you for sharing brutha.
A musician band trio. Dirty loops., work shit out , only musician would appreciate
Still no drum solo reaction?
references ‘Powerhouse’ - by The Raymond Scott Quintette, which you might recognise from the old school cartoons
Superb reaction: sensitive and uncluttered. Thanks!
Maybe for fun, try "The Big Money " by Rush. I don't have a background as a musician, but I would listen to RUSH as I painted, but Love Bass a lot. You might appreciate this offering by RUSH. Also, I was a big fan of YES in the 1970s...yes I date myself some, but Yes was introduced into the Music Hall of Fame, and Geddy Lee filled in for Chris Squire the Bassist from YES who had passed away in 2016 (I think). The reason I bring this up, being drawn to bass as I was, when heard Squire I remarked to myself...IS THAT POSSIBLE?! Apparently in the earlier years of RUSH, Geddy Lee was influenced by him a lot. There is a YES recording from Montruex (spelling!) entitled "The Fish" that you might enjoy as well.
Xanadu is a poem written by Shelley
Watch the actual music video of this - you'll get the vibe more -
It’s basically about colonization and displacement of imperialism Noel peart wrote the lyrics I had to listen to it a few times but very to a lot of their songs they were always true to themselves !
Stray cats got some bass going on !!!
It's song about war and taking land s and, assuming the people of the defeated lands
White men on the street is a metaphor for the cocaine dealers.
It's Why Why ZED... please pronounce it correctly to show how big a Rush fan you are.
I’m not a bass player but I am a lifelong RUSH fan that knows a whole lot about all 3 members of Rush and Geddys favorite bass strings are Rotosound brand. At least in the later years of RUSH. This song is from the album Power Windows. This was the peak of 80’s Rush. It’s fabulous but I think every RUSH album is fabulous!!

When you work together that long, you don't need a signal. It seems like magic. It is almost precognition.
Yes Neil used a double bass pedal, even a proper double bass drum kit on occasion. Cheers from 🇨🇦.
“They force ear-gasims”. 😂 SO true. Their music diversity and progression from 1973 to present is unparalleled.
Churchboy, It's not (just) flat-wounds. He's playing a Jaco Pastorius fretless bass. Sincerely, Preacher's Kid
It's about the separation of our spirits/souls from all the others, the disconnect we have in life from each other. We come from the river, our lives are the fall in the water fall, all separate drops of water that are rejoined at the bottom as the river again, but we forget that we all came from the same essence, while we're falling/living, getting distracted by the material and wall ourselves off from each other. It might be an apt song to play for your church group
Because guitarist can't decide if he is the greatest rhythm guitarist of all-time or the the best lead guitarist or the king of harmonics
Really like your videos so far! So many original observations and personal touches. (May I kindly point out that sometimes you cut the song before the very end.)
Just found your channel - very enjoyable. Subscribed.
The bass Geddy is using is a Jaco Pastorius, fretless bass with flat round strings. Very cool. I believe he's either going direct or through a Orange amp head. His set up is pretty basic, most of his tone is in his fingers.
