    So I followed the recipe accept I had to sub white pepper for black , & sugar for cinnamon toast sugar & it still came out delicious 😋😋😋that’s how you know this recipe is a BOP🔥🔥🔥sigh I just know it would’ve been off the chain with regular sugar 😩

    Rewatching this video 2yrs later, I was thinking, is it possible to put too much garlic in this recipe? For example, keeping the butter and soy sauce the same, have you tried doubling the number of cloves of garlic (to 30 vs 15)? Also, you provided a recommendation on the butter, but I didn't see one for the soy sauce. Is it Kikkoman or LKK or some other brand?

      I've not tried that. But I love garlic, so I would probably like it. You'll have to experiment and find something you like. For soy sauce, Benihana uses Kikkoman.

    I would love to see this amount of research and information for something like Sweet and Sour sauce or General Tso sauce. Something that seems to vary so wildly while still having a common enough set of ingredients you can find two restaurants across the country that taste nearly identical but go next door and it's wildly different.

    Okay. I made this on 5-22-24 and it tastes freaking AMAZING!! I've recommended your channel to other people. Truly, these egg rolls are better than most restaurants! Hey Jason, I'll be making a version of this but substituting popcorn shrimp for pork . Any thoughts on how to season the shrimp? (the ground pork seasoning is awesome, but I'm not sure it would work for shrimp. Probably overwhelm the flavor)

    Have you tried the technique where you put in water and cover and steam the onions a bit? It gets you to the step where the onions are releasing their water earlier. You have to boil the additional water off, but I think it's an overall time saver. Other than that, I like doing my onions the exact same way. I never understood how some videos talk about caramelized onions in 15 or 20 minutes and I'm several hours into the process. Good work as usual.

    To be fair, I'm assuming the cook time could be cut down significantly, no? If you used a lot less onions and only need a bit. I would be fine spending 1-2 hours on a smaller batch if that was possible

    Made this tonight and the only negative thing about this is I didn’t find this video sooner. It’s spot on!!!!! The closest PF Chang’s to me is two hours away, so my Chang’s Spicy Chicken cravings often go unfulfilled. But not anymore! I got PF Chang’s at home now!!! 😋🙌🏾🔥

    "Irrational phobia of MSG" hit really hard, I love cooking Chinese food at home and when I share recipes with friends and tell them they MUST have MSG as an ingredient, it turns into a really long complicated explanation of why the US had a crusade against MSG and why it was basically a wild goose chase mixed with a witch hunt, literally blows my mind how many people are still affected by iSN't MsG rEaLLy bAd fOWUr YUUUU?!?!?!? I can't believe how many people I have talked to at church and school and STILL continue to talk to about this, I've had the same conversation so many times I am tired of it and just wanna make a CZcams video rant about it and send people a link instead of sitting there and explaining again, my new to the point argument is "its no worse for you than fast food", I feel like that is pretty poignant.

    Just FYI, cremini(baby bella) mushrooms and white button mushrooms are not at different stages. They are in the same stage of development. They are basically identical. White buttons are just an albino type of the same mushroom. You're correct about the portabella though. It's fine to spend a bit less and get the white buttons, but for presentation purposes, I'd definitely spend that little bit more and get the creminis.

    I’ve viewed this a few times but always forgot to point out something . I’m fairly sure you’re using mung beans sprouts in the video. It’s important to remember mung beans don’t really need to be thoroughly cooked to be edible. Mung bean is more “authentic” than soybean sprouts that should be cooked thoroughly before consumption. You can find them canned in which case they’re cooked. I bring this up as some people with medical conditions such as myself who have SLE/lupus cannot have mung beans. Further some people with other medical conditions such as a colostomy can only eat well cooked sprouts. Your video is very good I just felt people might need to know.
