I love 64 Chevelles, Actually I love all Chevelles ! After selling my highly modified 55 Chevy in 1970 (BIG mistake), I bought a silver 64 Chevelle 2 door hardtop, 6 cyl stick. A number of months later this car was sporting a slightly modified 68 302 Z28 motor, Pontiac Muncie 4 speed and a 66 GTO posi rear end with 3.90 gears. Painted 68 Caddy Nottingham (Emerald) Green. Car was quick as it was so light. Surprised a lot of people on the street. Drove it for 10 years before I sold it. Another BIG mistake !

My grandpa told me that the old Chevy straight 8 he had in one of his cars was so smooth you could light a cigarette and stand it up on the rocker cover and it would stay there until it burned up.

I rebuilt a 455 Oldsmobile and it ran so smooth I could balance a Nickle on the carburetor and rev it up
