Elidel cream, Soolantra cream, Metronidazole cream, anti-fungal cream, colloid silver spray, hypochlorous acid spray, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, hydrogen peroxide, chlorhexidine, antibiotic tablets, changing my diet, changing my skincare (no fragrance), changing toothpaste... I don't know what to do anymore, and I think about it every day... I'm so depressed...

What seems to be calming my PD flare up is just washing my face very gently, either with only cool water or with a very gentle cleanser (the one I use is La Roche Posay Toleriane hydrating gentle face cleanser). I also use a gentle moisturizer at night called Purito Centella unscented recovery cream (it's supposed to help the skin barrier), the SPF I use during the day is CeraVe face moisturizing lotion SPF 30. SomE other treatments I've been trying that seem to be helping is using a zinc cream (the one I'm using is Boudreaux's butt paste maximum strength, with 40% zinc), and also using McKesson Antifungal cream, 2% miconazole nitrate. My flare up is so much better now, almost gone. Also, I've been wearing makeup as little as possible, because my PD does flare up if I wear it too often.

Now with skin type 5 and 6 there are specific sunscreens that work much better. so depending on what skin type there is always a good sunscreen for you- sometimes it takes a bit of trial and error to find one you love :) I try to not use brand names here- but hope that helped a bit.
