Hey Cuz! This is fun! I use 3-4 wax pellets per spoonful. I only own 2 molds, but one is my favorite...it is a cameo which I use pale pink wax, and afdter it is cooled I rub a bit of metallic gold on it. I make a bunch at once in advance. I have a silicone sheet that has a lot of perfect sized circles that I pour the hot wax in. I found on Amazon, an electric wax melting gadget that the spoon fits in and it melts the wax quick, and a lot less of a mess than the candle, soot, etc. and never have to worry about having candles or a stand. I luv it! Then I either glue the seals on to my project, or use those double stick dots. Hope that helps, and have fun! TFS! Lil hugs xo

I do this, it's so fun! Do you have the thing that the candle sits in? That way you don't have to hold the spoon while the wax melts. Also, it works better if you put about 4 or 5 wax pellets in the spoon, maybe even 6 depending on the size of your mold. It's better to use a bit more then you think you'll need, you don't have to pour it all if you think you have too much. Your last one came out nice.

Love these! I really like the artsy collage design you did. It makes them very interesting, the layering and all. The new tag shape this month looks like a fun take on the traditional ATC. Can't wait to start mine. I am still working on "Fairy Wings". I've had some interruptions, so I got behind, but I'll have them in the mail in a day or two. Before the end of the week for sure! I bought a set like that except it did not come with those wax pellets, instead it came with wax sticks...a big pain. Also, did not have a stand to rest the spoon over the candle...meh. So, I was looking on Amazon, found some pellets in pale pink, found a cool stamp of a cameo, and instead of buying a stand for the spoon, I found something better! It is an electric stand that heats up, and fits the spoon, and melts the pellets evenly and perfectly, and never have to buy more candles! Yay! I luv it! Oh, also found a silicone sheet of circular molds to pour the melted wax into, so can make a bunch in advance, then just glue onto your project. I luv the handle on that stamp...very elegant! I will go check out the store. TFS! Lil hugs xo

Thanks for sharing this Candace. I did not even know these little blender brushes existed! The smaller brushes would be good for just fine stencils, and I have a lot of those, but I prefer the larger ones. This tutorial was very useful!
