I experienced a majer free fall during a domestic flight in Nepal recently, it was so terrifying for a moment felt like a last moment. Later the cabin crew told that fall was at least 400 ft or more

Fort Myers to Chicago. Moderate turbulence and reminded me why I don’t do roller coasters. Also Helsinki to Stockholm on a CRJ 900 which is a smaller plane that’s more susceptible to turbulence. And it was raining that entire flight.

The beeping is very annoying also the lack of common courtesy from the pilots not saying what’s going on is terrible… they should be warning people in advance and reassure them it’s normal and all ok

Bruh I was on my way to the Denver airport and the plane had so much turbulence and dropped 100 feet in like under a second. Some woman yelped and that’s what made me scared

The worst Turbulence I had experienced was Flying from Dubai, UAE to Mumbai, INDIA. The turbulence was so bad that even a cup of water couldn’t stay properly on the tray table 💀

As a frequent flyer between Sydney and LA crossing the Pacific often has some of the most violent CAT (Clear Air Turbulence) turbulence that is undetectable on the aircraft weather radar. The only time in 40 years of flying I've been scared was over the Pacific at night when we hit the most violent turbulence, I've never seen a 747s wings bounce so much and stuff get thrown around the cabin.

What are you basing this claim of 50 feet on? You realize a 50 foot drop compared to the 35,000 foot cruising altitude is practically nothing, right? Even when you compare it to the typical vertical climbing/descent speed of 2000 feet per minute for a passenger jet, even that is 33 feet per second (2000 feet / 60 seconds). So, either your estimate is off by a bit, or this turbulence wasn't as bad as you think. Or both.

This was nothing to my experience in Air India on the western coast of India which was at that time was monsoon season. It started with violent shake and the food was served and put on pause, suddenly there was sudden steep right bank with a drop in altitude where i was literally out of my seat despite wearing seatbelt little loose. The women were screaming and the stewards were looking each other. I was blaming pilots in my mind for not changing the flight level to safer altitudes at that point of time. Really it was first time experience in my 30 years of flying as a passenger and i wish sometimes to experience it again with my camera on to rewind it.

I cant even tell at what point in the video it happened. No screams from inside the cabin either. Makes me wonder how severe the turbulence was on a flight I was on where the entire plane was screaming and the pilots had to come over the speakers to calm everyone down.
