Spiritgrow
Registrace 18. 05. 2009
Today's 'global village' rarely has a 'green village' where people gather in a warm, encouraging, and embracing community. Spiritgrow is one such place. We set out to create a like-minded spirituality oriented, compassionately caring community. And we have succeeded.
Our community has many branches: study groups, prayer circles, children's programs, young adult dinners and more.
Spiritgrow Josef Kryss Wholistic Centre is a registered not-for-profit organisation, dedicated to personal growth and spiritual awareness.
The Mission Statement: To improve people's lives by creating a more values-conscious society, imbuing people with mutual care and concern, providing avenues to health and wellness education, and enriching relationships to facilitate happiness and personal fulfillment -- through a holistic approach to life, informed by Jewish spiritual wisdoms coupled with contemporary insights of modern scientific research.

Pinchas Your Weekly Mission - By Rabbi Laibl Wolf
Pinchas (Sat. 27th July /21st Tammuz)
Criticising the Critic
Your Weekly Mission - By Rabbi Laibl Wolf
Pinchas was criticised by many as a young upstart who didn’t respect his elders by taking the law into his own hands. Later adjudged a hero, this didn’t stop criticism beforehand. Why? Because often we criticise for very wrong motives of envy, or result of egotism, or hostility. Don’t criticise until one’s motives can be found to be absolutely pure.
Notes:
• Pinchas was a relatively young man when he jumped in and took matters into his own hands when the Jewish people were being ridiculed by a Moabite Princess. You would have thought that everyone would have appreciated his actions. He showed initiative, daring, and courage. It seems that the people didn’t. In fact they all found reasons to criticise him. Ultimately Pinchas was not only cleared of any mal-intentions and came out a real hero.
• But it raises the question: why do people have a tendency to criticise others? Of course, there may be grounds for criticism. But why is YOU who chooses to criticise. Do you wrap yourself up in the garment of righteous indignation putting on the persona of a super moralist? Or is it simply the ‘tall-poppy syndrome’? Or do you wish to appear the guardian and leader of people?
• In other words, we must always look at our personal true motivation for criticising others. All too often it is an aspect of big egos, or envy, or past hostility. And these are not sufficiently satisfactory rationales to criticise others.
• The adage ‘those in glass houses should not throw stones’ may well be applicable to us when we choose to criticise.
• Pinchas was criticised as a young upstart; as dishonouring his elders by taking the initiative, as a grandson of someone who had at one stage of his life appeared to be a cruel person. But the question is whether the criticisms were coming from the right place.
• This parsha is teaching us to analyse our own motivations before offering criticism. Only then, if our intentions are pure, might it be justified to criticise - and even then only if it assists, rather than hurts.
• How often do you criticise others and why?

Chukkat (Sat. 13th July /7th Tammuz) The Future Lies With Jewish Women Your Weekly Mission - By Rabbi Laibl Wolf Notes: • In this week parsha we read of Moses’ sister’s Miriam’s passing. It was in her great merit that the Jewish people in the desert had water to drink. Miraculous wells of water flowed wherever Miriam was to be found. • The metaphor is most apt. Water represents 70% of the human...

Korach (Sat. 6th July; 30th Sivan / Rosh Chodesh ) The Cancer of Envy Your Weekly Mission - By Rabbi Laibl Wolf Notes: • Korach, the central figure, and name, of our Parsha this week, was a gifted individual. Smart, eloquent, wealthy, holding a high position, and a member of Moses’ own family, he had everything going for him. But he had a flawed character. He wanted more. He craved the leadersh...

Moses sends spies to check out the lie of the land of Canaan, so that the Jewish people can enter their promised land with ease. The mission ends in disaster. The reconnoitre is coloured by the pessimism of ten...

Thank you Rabbi Laibl Wolf, " know thyself."
Let's not forget that all twelve tribes of Israel were captives in Egypt, not just Judah and Benjamin (Jews.) There are hundreds of millions of Israelites in the world but sadly, only two tribes are recognized. This is perhaps due to their losing the faith and becoming gentiles. However, Ephraim and Manasseh are busily gathering in the outcasts and dispersed in a tremendous worldwide gathering. All tribes will be grafted back in and no more enmity will exist between Joseph and Judah.
Neither their faces appear like a Ghost then disappear in the sky I guess probably another manifesting from someone belief system

If you read the first testament, its never said that they were slaves. They asked to be in the land and the Pharaoh valued the Jews for their midwives and refused them leaving but they weren't 'slaves' other than not being allowed to leave.
They are black africans just like Moses was black. The narrative these people trying to paint is so funny.
