Got it! Now I understand your question, and I think is a very good question. First of all we have to consider that the belcanto repertoire, like Rossini, is not a kind of music based on the intelligibility of the lyrics. Just think about that sometimes you sing thousands of notes with just one syllable and maybe because of the lenght of the melismas you can even forget which was the previous syllable. The best way is to study the lyrics without singing, the slower you pronounce the more clearly you will sing.

Please, before writing a comment take a look to the music score and please teach me what is a “e” sorda. Eventually in italian “e” can be pronounced open or closed. Don’t waste your life and pray God to let you understand the meaning of your own life. Good luck

Sorry for the late reply. The competition I am participating in is only in Japan. If I pass the regional qualifying round, I can go to the semi-final round. I have to sing a different piece and I will be singing Mascagni's Ave Maria. If possible, I would like to ask you to teach me the lyrics of this Ave Maria as well.

You’re completely right Sir. What I’ve said is not so polite. But, Please consider the fact that if you don’t have the classical singing technique how can you sing such a difficult Aria? Maybe you can interpret it, you can play it in a jazzy mood but the aim of the channel is to help classical singer and not to make propaganda of famous Arias. I put limits by myself, I apologize if you think this is not polite from me. I sincerely apologize with you.
