my friend said that he got 500k a year during his internship, I don't know if this is true
Very good video. By the way, you look like you have some east Asian genes
Hey i applied for the corporate banking analyst program, what was the hirevue interview like please?
hi! i am currently applying to transfer to fordham university. how quickly did they give you ur results? im a business major too!
thank you!
Got my superday on Wednesday thx for making this!
I hope your superday went well!
Hi!! Do you have a public instagram handle? I would love to reach out and ask for some personal advice if you are okay with that. I would really appreciate it. Thank you!
I’m stress out as a immigrant and first gen college I’m a junior and I have no finance experience I don’t even know what to do now for summer intern 😢
If your goal is to secure an internship, I recommend knowing the industry you want to enter. If you're clear on that, adjust your resume to highlight the skills relevant to your interviewer. It's okay if you lack 'finance'-specific work experience. Many employers don't expect you to know every detail, unless you're diving into investment banking, where technical knowledge is crucial. Finance is broad, so any work experiences could relate to jobs in the financial industry. If you've taken courses like Financial Accounting, Finance, Accounting, or Principles of Real Estate, that knowledge can help apply basics to your previous work experiences. Lastly, many employers value unique candidate backgrounds, so don't feel the need to be the 'exact same' as others in finance-related jobs. Focus on your strengths and what you have, not your weaknesses and what you lack. Good luck! YOU GOT THIS!!!
Thanks you so much for replying my message I will do my best to keep up and land somewhere Successful 🥰@@warren7836
Hey man just found your channel today, really enjoyed the vid so I'ma subscribe to you.💪 Also bro the quality of your vid is AMAZING, I've just recently started uploading on yt, would love if you could give me some tips as someone who is much more experienced than me!😁Best of luck in reaching your goals, let's keep growing!🚀
Thanks man! I’m glad you found my channels! I not sure what tips I could give to you since I’m still trying to find my way to grow this channel but I hope there would be amazing growth in your future on your CZcams! I know sometimes I feels cringe myself to creating content on social media, but I think best thing we could do is to create more content until you find your right audiences ( which that’s what i am trying to do lol), but I hope you continues to creating your content and grow! Good luck!
I think you got it spot on bro, finding your audience is CRUCIAL, thanks for the advice and good luck with your channel as well!
I have my Super Day Interview for the Advancing Black Pathways Fellowship Program next Friday, do you have any advice that would possibly help?
I didn't participate in that program, but I suggest delving into its details regards to the program. Specifically, explore JP Morgan's $30 billion racial equity commitment, as it plays a crucial role in addressing the racial wealth gap. Good luck!
I actually was offered the position this past Thursday! I was glad to hear how much I stood out from other candidates, thank you for the help! @@warren7836
@@warren7836 update: I got the official offer last week! Thank you for the help from your videos 🙌🏽
OMG Congratsssss!!!!🥳
Thanks for sharing, man! I also got a lot of rejections and I'm still in the process! I liked what you said about the job not being what define us! Thanks, God bless!
[update] I got a job as a financial advisor! I’m so happy! Don’t give up, guys! Keep going and don’t lose hope! Jesus loves us and has died for us! Let’s gooo
Thank you for the great insight and congratulations on the great milestone. You really worked hard to come this far and surely deserve it.
People who hold negative views towards DEI measures taken by banks don't really understand the concept of meritocracy. Granted, it's not the best way to achieve equity and blah blah blah but attacking individuals rather than the system is just a very asshole move...
Thank you for sharing. As an undergraduate student majoring in finance at a public university your video is very insightful. I took Financial Accounting last year and your questions for the same class are immensely more challenging than mine. My 3.8 GPA is probably a 1.8 at Cornell 🥲I am going to finish my undergraduate degree at this school to show what is possible for other students, but I will go to an Ivy league school for my masters. Recruiting is huge! Maybe I'll see you at J.P Morgan Chase & Co!
Thank you for your comment! Hope to see you there as well! :)
I didn't know you speak Japanese!! I am too haha congrats on your internship!!!
Haha ありがとうございます🙇🏾
What type of backpack do you have?
lol, the brand is “Incase”
Hello Warren Can I apply for internship after my graduation even if I don't have any experience
Hello, depends on the program but most of the application mentions their expected graduating years as their applicant eligibility
hi can you provide your linkedin or insta id ,?
Hello, thanks for the comment! My social’s info is provided at description on my channel!
Hello , actually I got interview from jp morgan London as well after got the interview I’m seeing your video . I don’t have financial background it’s a kind of internship for business graduate. But how I prepare for hirevu I’m confused
Thanks for your comments! I hope your interview went well. I'm not sure which position you applied for, but the company always values diverse backgrounds, so don't stress about lacking experience in the financial industry. Wishing you the best of luck!
Hey Warren, thanks for making this video! Definitely looking at JPMorgan as an opportunity in the future as an aspiring data scientist. Keep working hard!
love this! i interned at goldman back in college and loved it! you should do a video explaining your thought process and how you tackled issues in analyzing
Thanks for the comment! Definitely will work on that content in the future!
Thank you for your video and useful information.
Is it possible for you to talk about how you tailored your cv and cover letter
Thanks for the comments! Will try to include cover letter topics in the future! Stay tuned!
i LOVE the way you edit!!
How likely am I able to get an internship as a 4 year transfer to Berkley from a community college? Transferring into Junior year, will I have time to get an internship and get hired?
I'm not entirely sure, but if you're an undergrad, you can definitely apply for the position ( for a certain graduation time frame). Everyone comes from different backgrounds in terms of career and academics, so it's hard to predict your chances. But hey, you won't know until you give it a shot! Good luck!
Thank you for sharing your experience ! I am a final year Finance student and had a non-banking related internship during my second year at a publicly-listed logistics company's Accounting department. It was a mismatch of skills/goals and I think it may have caused a setback to my banking internship applications. It's been a bit nerve-wracking since I do not know the expectations they might have for an undergraduate.
Hello! Thank you for the question. In my opinion, many recruiters don't necessarily require banking experience from undergraduates. Instead, they seek diverse backgrounds that bring new value to the team in their division. Drawing from my own experiences, I worked in hospitality firms related to e-commerce, not directly linked to banking. However, I highlighted my involvement in international trade and how I utilized my English and Japanese language skills in my past roles. Every firm looks for a unique candidate, so you don't need to focus solely on one industry during your undergraduate studies. However, if you're keen on the technical aspects, it's beneficial to demonstrate your interest in the banking industry. Good luck!
Hi Warren! Thank you so much for making this video! We actually have very similar backgrounds- I did my first undergrad and grad in Hospitality as well (I went to CIA and NYU), and I am now getting another degree in poli sci econ. I added you on LinkedIn and am looking forward to connecting further.
Thank you I just accepted your request!
Thank you for the insightful information! Also congrats on 100 subscribers woohooooo🎉
I’m so proud of you, Warren. Great info!!!
Can you please share your resume and discuss it! It'll help us understand what sort of resumes makes someone stand out
I'm not sure if I will sharing my resume in the future in my channel, but please feel free to visit my LinkedIn profile to view my work experiences!
Could you do a video that dives deeper into the specifics of the technical questions you were asked and how you responded to them? thanks
Yeah definitely, I might consider creating videos about that in the future, especially if more people share the same questions as you!
Thank you so much for your videos, they have been really helpful! Did my hirevue some days ago and I’m hoping for the best.
Aww glad to hear! Hope your interview went well!
@@warren7836 yes it did. Thanks for asking. How long did it take for you to hear from them after your hirevue interview?
I believe it takes about a week, but the timeframe can vary depending on the specific programs you're applying for.
Awesome!
YAY!!! so excited to see another video from you :)
Affirmative action at its finest
Kinda sad to see this comment :(
@@warren7836 I'm sorry bro - but you need to acknowledge you got a great opportunity that another person would kill for and to be frank was probably more qualified for. Sure you are a smart guy getting into cornell is no easy feat but come on you need to be realistic. People at Cornell in business school probably got rejected before you...... Don't let the opportunity slip
Lol cope
Loved your video! Ain’t nothing embarrassing with Eating McDo in NYC!😂
LoL thanks 🫶🏾
Hi , warren after completing CFA level 1 should I do certification courses such as courses of financial modelling and Ms Excel ?? Will they help me to get internship in good companies ??
Hey, gotta say, completing CFA Level 1 is pretty impressive already! Also, I think most hiring managers don't really expect you to be expert at Excel or PowerPoint right off the bat - those skills can totally be picked up as you dive into projects. But hey, having those skills up your sleeve could totally impress your future boss! For me, I have data analytics certification (CHIA) and Microsoft Excel certification. Those skills were useful for me to handling with multiple projects during my internship.
@@warren7836 thanks for helping mate!!
I've been rejected 4 times 🙃
All good I have rejected more than 100 positions that I have applied from JPM and other firms lol. You are not the only one :) Hope that your recruiting process will go well! Good luck!!!
warren do you think its too late for a someone whos a senior to get an internship
I think nothing is too late. Internship is not only happening during summer. If you are up coming senior, you still are eligible to find position during fall, winter, and spring. Based on the industry and position it might be different. But I will recommend to look up through “ Handshake” app to see available positions as inter during those seasons. Good luck!
@@warren7836 thank you so much warren hey I would love to connect with you on LinkedIn if that’s fine? Also could you please make a video about hirevue? And how pass it?
