Dear Dr. Bellemans, is Chondromalacia patellae the same as chondropathy of the knee joint. And if yes, what exact exercises /sport would be beneficial ? Please assist.
I can walk and exercise without pain again, thanks to Planet Ayurveda's Joint Aid Plus. Truly a miracle.
I cant do a duck walk, i can barely get up off the couch..
So a stationary bike is great for cartilage. Does a regular bike help? (Maybe not as much). Thanks .
Thank you so much! What I appreciate about this video is that you visually point out where the pain is on various parts of the foot, as well as where certain tendons are, so that I can visually locate them on my own foot. I see where the navicular bone is on the foot but I also have pain on the medial cuneiform where the 2nd metatarsal connects and was hoping to understand where specifically that bone is and what could cause the pain.
I don’t really know what my pain would be considered, when I squat down and bend my legs it hurts when I get too deep on my right leg, then it really hurts if I push my foot/leg to the right at all. Still can walk perfectly fine and can bend it left just fine, anything would help.
Mine is back of knee.
It was very informative many thanks Professor Bellemans
I’m 15 with knee both of my knees I ran cross country for a a whole year for my high school and I started to have knee problems I think number three is what I have right in the middle
8:54 Im having pain in my ankle. Had x.ray and ultras ound. I was told that I had tino- sinovitus. Im having pain almost from last five months Having physio, wearing shoes with orthotics but its not helping. Can u please suggest any treatment.
It is tenosynovitis which is inflammation of the synovium that protects the tendon. Your ankle needs rest for about 4-6 weeks. It might help to use a brace to support your ankle so if you need to walk you can walk without placing too much strain on the ankle, and during your rest time apply ice for about 20 minutes at a time to the ankle where the inflammation is.
You forgot to mention how to confirm "Hoffa Syndrome" as the only one of the 10 mentioned.......It is the most annoying but not to worry because after a short while it will suddenly disappear without a trace.....never to be seen again.
Thank you so much doctor
I have very little cartilage in my left knee. (60 years of tennis) I regularly go on long bike rides of 30 or so miles. Is this bad for the cartilage. Should I just stay with the short bouts?
Fantastic video. I found out about a year ago that I have an osteochondral defect. The doctors didn't find it for 4 months. I had to get surgery. I got an arthroscopy and lateral ligamentous reconstruction. It still hurts every day but is much better than it was before it got operated on. I'm grateful for modern medicine!
Good afternoon Dr. Bellemans. I had a cyclops lesion removal surgery last week. I'm scared that having gone to the gym and having forced through aggresive rehabilitation my knee extension might have damaged my ACL graft. The arthroscopy images made it look slightly frayed. It might also have been overstretched, I can't tell. Are ACL grafts usually intact after a cyclops lesion?
Awesome 👏
🥹 okay, but it got my to knee Hoffa and I'm like what do you mean knee and feet say take the car and run. 😠 3 miles.. so I watched it. I'm trying.. he's right... 🐕 Learned need tricks for this, and could learn new tricks with this too.
How is it repair
Depending on the day, I have pain in all those spots.
Whhyyy I don't like my family very much.. YEARS ago!! It should have healed by now. 2017 was the last time and it was both fracture types 1, and 2. I was unable to get rest.. now footwear does hurt more than it should
Abnormal tiredness?
Castor oil
had a surgery but still after 6 months the test are positive
Thanks for the info that very useful. May I ask if there is any research reference about the short bout of cyclic, non-impact, mod. intensity exercise that can strengthen the cartilage??
tightness for me after repair ACL and ALL for me ! very bad experience for my surgery! dont believe the surgeon tell you to do this! think many many times before this surgery
i reinjured my knee also after acl and all surgery
The human body is truly fascinating... I had no idea knees wore a sports bra
#7 is also caused in short people by having the foot dangling in chairs that are too big for them. I know because I am one of them (4'10" tall). Also pointing toes when sleeping on back or on the side.
I have growing pain
I have a meniscus tear grade 3, osteartritis, did not want to go for surgery. But the horible pain now is coming from the back of the knee. IMR shows kyste
Doctor! It was a rupture of the inner root of the meniscus, but the root part became fibrous and healed naturally. Please research this area as well!
Would a vibration plate be soft enough?
Excellent thankyou
I originally saw your screen in a Google search that sent me to a video in CZcams that was not yours and did not answer my question. CZcams just happened to show me your video since I searched your pain spot image.
When you have a knee replacement do they cut your ligaments? Thank you!

Hi Doc I think I have LATERAL MINISCUS so the pain has been for 7 days already. What should I do next? Should I wait 4 weeks to heal or do the MRI test already? Of all the videos I've seen this one is the most accurate one, easy to understand and it helped me a lot. Automatic subscribed!
i tore my meniscus, i've been putting a pillow between my butt and heels and sitting back on my heals. the pillow allows me not to flex too aggressively
Thank you so much!!
Love u doc! Thank u very much for this info.
4:22 My pain is similar to 7. Tibialis posterior tendinitis; but I suspect that I may have been hit by another player at soccer and it hurts there when I kick the ball with the side of my foot. Any hints to help healing? It’s been like 3 weeks now. Thanks for the superb video. ❤ to Belgium!
Excellent thanks ❤
